Description: <Captain>
Notes: Carthy Cave is the one responsible for the ship that go to the Azure Shore to rescue Graden Wylkes' spy Burgess. You must defend Carthy Cave at the start of the quest from attacks of Dar Qat soldiers before you can go searching for Burgess.
Inspired Quarter[edit]
If you try to talk to him while at level 15 or lower, he will reply:
- Carthy Cave: The captain motions for you to leave.
If you are at level 16 or higher, however, he will reply:
- Carthy Cave: Here now, are ye the adventurer sent to join my crew?
- Carthy Cave: Coin Lord Wylkes has one of his agents and a heap o'treasure stranded off on an island... with no way back to Stormreach. He's hired me ship to bring'em back.
- You: I'm always happy to help the Coin Lords ... and even happier when treasure is involved. How did this agent get stranded on the island?
- Carthy Cave: He was traveling back from that Dar Qat city when his ship was sunk... supposedly by pirates! -- Any sensible pirate knows better than to sink a Coin Lord's ship!
- Carthy Cave: Anyway, he got some kind of magical message back to Coin Lord Wylkes, and now we're to go pick him up from the Azure Shoals.
- You: Sounds dangerous—I like it! Let's set sail for this island. (Bestow quest)
If you talk to him again after getting the quest, but before completion, he will ask:
- Carthy Cave: Coming? Time and tide wait for no man.
- You: Of course, let's sail for Azure Shoals right away.
On quest completion, he will congratulate you:
- Carthy Cave: Ye have me thanks.
- Carthy Cave: And Coin Lord Wylkes wants to express his appreciation as well. He told me to give ye this.
After you complete the quest, if you return and talk to him again, he will reply:
- Carthy Cave: Are ye ready to set sail for the Azure Shoals once again?
