Description: <Grandmaster of The Twelve>

Notes: In The Chronoscope he's still an Associate of the Twelve. He gives you precious advice on anti-Devil warfare. He also denies you access to the action until you get authorization from Veheer F'nord. In the Marketplace he's now a Grandmaster of the Twelve. He talks about some visions he's having about Devil activity and recruits you to investigate the causes.

The Chronoscope

When you first arrive at the Marketplace in the past, you will see him holding a magic barrier. If inquired, he will say:

• Delvarrion Iravati: Where did you come from friend? I thought I knew all the survivors in our little outpost.
  • You: Is this Stormreach?!
    • Delvarrion Iravati: Yes, of course this is Stormreach! Did you crawl out of a sewer or something?
    • Delvarrion Iravati: No, nevermind, forget I asked. Look, I'm rather busy here, what with holding up this portal to keep the Devils from killing us all.
    • Delvarrion Iravati: Go talk to Veheer if you need something. You can go through the Rusty Nail Tavern and take the Magical Door to get to him.
  • You: Why is this barrier here? Oh. Is that a demon?
    • Delvarrion Iravati: No, not a demon, it's a DEVIL. Why do people keep confusing them? Where did you come from, anyhow?
    • Delvarrion Iravati: No, nevermind, forget I asked. Look, I'm rather busy here, what with holding up this portal to keep the Devils from killing us all.
    • Delvarrion Iravati: Go talk to Veheer if you need something. You can go through the Rusty Nail Tavern and take the Magical Door to get to him.

After you talk to Veheer, when you return to him, he will say:

• Delvarrion Iravati: Veheer instructed me to give you access to the Market.
• Delvarrion Iravati: Listen, before I drop this barrier and you get all of you killed, make sure you have the right weapons for fighting Devils—that's the Abishai and Bearded Devils. Use good aligned weapons such as Pure Good, Holy, Flametouched, or Blessed. Don't try fire or poison - they don't work well on Devils.
• Delvarrion Iravati: Oh yeah, many Devils can teleport, so don't think you can just run away from them.
• Delvarrion Iravati: Luckily, Tieflings are only half-fiends, so they're not as tough as the full-blooded Devils.
  • You: Don't worry about my party. We're ready to fight the Devils!
    • Delvarrion Iravati: I wish you the best of luck, brave adventurers.
  • You: Uh, sounds like my party should go buy some weapons in the Rusty Nail first. (Walk away)
