If you try to talk to him while at level 16 or lower, he will reply:
- Harlan d'Cannith: Forgive me, I'm trying to find out what's going on inside the Power Works. We've had no word for hours...
If you are at level 17 or higher, however, he will reply:
- Harlan d'Cannith: What a nightmare! When the Lord of Blades invaded the Manufactury, he deactivated the power crystals inside the Power Works. That means we're cut off from their magical energies just when we need them most!
- Harlan d'Cannith: One of our employees stayed behind to try to re-activate the crystals. A brave girl, but one magewright hasn't got a prayer against the Lord of Blades's fanatics!
- You: Maybe I can help. Where is this employee, exactly?
- Harlan d'Cannith: She's in the Power Works, inside the Cannith Manufactury. Once you're inside the Power Works, look for Kylea d'Cannith ... though I imagine she will find you.
- Harlan d'Cannith: Please help Kylea re-enable the Power Crystals. Without them, we're forced to fight the Lord of Blades with one hand tied behind our back!
- You: I'll go find Kylea in the Power Works and help her re-enable the crystals. (Bestow quest)
- You: Power Crystals? What do you need those for?
- Harlan d'Cannith: Normally our artificers and magewrights draw upon the power stored in the Power Works crystals when they craft their magical creations. Certain of our constructs draw on the crystals as well .. the magefire cannons we use for security, for example.
- You: One of your employees is taking on the Lord of Blades forces? Is she crazy or just stupid?
- Harlan d'Cannith: Oh, Kylea is neither mad nor foolish, I assure you!
- Harlan d'Cannith: Most employees fled the Manufactury when the Lord of Blades attacked, but Kylea volunteered to stay behind to try to re-enable the crystals. She promised to stay out of sight of those fanatics until she figured out a way to do it safely.
- Harlan d'Cannith: But that was hours ago, and we've had no word from the Power works. I am beginning to fear the worst.
- You: Where is the Power Works? I can check on Kylea, maybe lend her a hand. (see above)
- You: Maybe I can help. Where is this employee, exactly?
Talking to him after acquiring the quest, but before completion, will make he say:
- Harlan d'Cannith: Please, go check on Kylea in the Power Works! If something happened to her I'd never forgive myself ....
On completion of quest, he will congratulate you with the following:
- Harlan d'Cannith: So Kylea is safe and the Power Crystals are back in action? Splendid, splendid! This will help us drive out the Lord of Blades from our Manufactury. Then we can get back to business!
- Harlan d'Cannith: Your bravery must be recognized. Here, take this.
After completing the quest and taking the reward, if you talk to him again, he will reply:
- Harlan d'Cannith: Could you look in on Kylea inside the Power Works again? She was supposed to re-enable the Power Crystals but we haven't heard from her ....
