Name: Harven Gralak

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Bestows Quest(s): Freshen the Air

Location: The Marketplace, east of the center tent, near Redfang the Unruled

The Marketplace[edit]

If you try to talk to him while at level 1, he will reply:

  • Harven Gralak: I hope you have a good reason for disturbing me.

If you are at level 2 or higher, however, he will reply:

  • Harven Gralak: I hope you're up for action, because I need soldiers in a hurry. Notice that smell? Like a ghoul's breath or an orc's feet, but less appetizing? That's the smell of troglodytes. Dozens of them! They've blocked up the ventilation in the sewers beneath my house. I need those vents opened immediately, or I'll lose a very important commission! Will you sign up for the fight?
    • You: Chasing off a few Trogs? Nothing to it. Count me in. (Bestow quest)
      • Harven Gralak: Once you're inside, my man Doggart will point out the way to the vents. All you need to do is clear those vents and get out! I'm receiving important visitors soon, and if the place still stinks of Trog, they won't stick around for long. Good luck, warrior!
    • You: This job stinks. I'll decline. (Walk away)
      • Harven Gralak: Then begone! I can't receive House Deneith dignataries while my home smells like a bugbear's brothel! If you won't help, get out of my sight!

Talking to him after acquiring the quest, but before completion, will make him say:

  • Harven Gralak: What a mess. The Deneith delegation wants to negotiate for my services as a tactician. And I've won a battle or two in my day. But how can I draw up plans for the disposition of mighty armies when I can't exterminate a knot of stinking lizards from my basement? If you don't take care of those Troglodytes, they'll laugh me out of a job.

On completion of quest, he will congratulate you with the following:

  • Harven Gralak: Sweet air! Glorious air! Not-stinking-of-troglodytes air! My deal with House Deneith will go forward as planned, and you have earned your pay. Congratulations, soldier, on a job well done.
  • You: I'm glad I could help.

After completing the quest and take the reward, if you talk to him again, he will reply:

  • Harven Gralak: Not only is my reputation with Deneith saved, but I won't have to sell my home. And it's not easy to sell a house that smells like a wagonload of sun-drenched cheese. Indeed, it is not.
