Hired Blade (L20 Rogue)

The hired blade is an opponent that creates fear in his victims. Stalking them from the shadows, the hired blade waits for the precise moment to plunge his blade deep into the victim. Even if the victim should survive the attempt, he or she will be mortally injured. What is even more feared is the ability to vorpal mobs on a roll of natural 20. The hired blade has the search and disable device skills maxed out. This is important as elite traps often deal extreme damage. Thus, a good rogue has to be able to minimise damage to the party by taking them down before they can cause harm. In addition to the regular rogue skills, the hired blade is also versed with the use of magical devices. This allows versatility which in dire situations can be very helpful.
