Item talk:Purified Eberron Dragonshard Fragment

There is a lot of information missing here, like who to go to in order to make these trades, which way the trade goes (is it tome for shards? shards for tome? for example), and so on. 24.57.184.32 20:31, February 14, 2012

Added more notes. This that covers it fairly well. Backley 17:09, February 14, 2012 (EST)
Not really: from what's written, these shards can either be turned in in exchange for trinkets and such, either traded in exchange for purified shards. However, I tried to trade with collectors, they only accept turning them in. It does not appear in "Standard" traders sell lists (which is expected since they can't be sold but exchanged). So no, information is missing : how can we "trade" for purified dragonshards? And to whom? Thanks. --HawkFest (ContributionsMessage) 17:56, December 9, 2014 (EST)

How to trade for Purified Eberron Dragonshard Fragments[edit]

How can we trade for purified dragonshards? And with whom? Collectors only accept turning them in, and traders don't accept them for trade (not in the sell list). --HawkFest (ContributionsMessage) 18:01, December 9, 2014 (EST)

Thanks --HawkFest (ContributionsMessage) 14:36, February 15, 2015 (EST)
  • The same vendors will trade Purified Eberron Dragonshard Fragments 1:1 for Small Eberron Dragonshard Fragments, 2:1 for Medium Eberron Dragonshard Fragments, and 3:1 for Large Eberron Dragonshard Fragments. And will also exchange them 1:1 for Token of the Twelve (which can be themselves exchanged 1:1 for Greater Token of the Twelve) -Niminae (ContribsMessage) 10:18, March 11, 2017 (EST)

Base value[edit]

I've traded a +2 tome (strength) for 9 purified Eberron dragonshard fragments. Hovering over the stack (from within the inventory GUI) shows a base value of 1800plat. --HawkFest (ContributionsMessage) 15:24, February 15, 2015 (EST)

Upgrade tomes[edit]

Does anyone tested if upgrade tomes can be traded for Purified Shards? Nibelung (ContributionsMessage) 14:03, July 26, 2015 (EDT)

  • I stuck a +1-2 WIS tome into the barter, it the trade button lit up. Naturally, I didn't actually press it, but it seems to be acceptable. A +1-2 Spot tome did not give any valid trades. --Thalone 20:45, July 26, 2015 (EDT)
    • Update 32 add all tomes, including skill and upgrade tomes along with other ways to acquire PED's (Purified Dragonshard Fragments). Page needs serious overhaul to reflect the upcoming changes, and needs existing archived into historical. --Uurlock (ContribsMessage) 14:44, September 5, 2016 (EDT)

Bind status conflicts with Tips[edit]

Bind status is set to BtA, while tips claims you can sell them on the AH/ASAH. Both cannot be correct. I've never seen one drop unbound from a chest, but it that is possible, and if it is not possible to set bind type to more than one value, then there should be a qualifier added to the Tips paragraph that only unbound PEDs can be placed in the AH/ASAH. -- Niminae (ContribsMessage) 01:42, January 8, 2018 (EST)

Both ~are~ correct - but for PEDF's from diff sources. If trading in a tome at a Crafting Hall, yes, they are BTA, but they also drop from collectable nodes and are unbound. Which is pro'ly why you've "never seen one drop from a chest". (Have you seen bound ones drop from a chest?). Neither have I - but I got dozens, all sizes. I think your suggested qualifier is stating the obvious, but I also guess it can't hurt. C-Hound (ContribsMessage) 03:55, January 16, 2018 (EST)
    • I think C-Hound confused Purified Eberron Dragonshards with regular Eberron Dragonshards. The latter is a collectable and drops undound from collectable nodes. The former is an ingredient and drops bound from chests or from trade. Faltout (ContribsMessage) 06:37, November 17, 2018 (EST)
