Description: <Rogue> <Rogue Trainer>

Notes: Jeets is an halfling rogue that will guide through your first adventures in The Grotto. He and his party then helps you by distracting Aussircaex while you go in search of the Quori Mindsunder. After that, he becomes the Rogue trainer in the Harbor, just outside the Wayward Lobster. Much later, you will encounter him again inside Wylkes Manor, suffering from an endless sleep state.

Shipwreck Shore[edit]

Main article: Shipwreck Shore

Before entering dialogue:

  • Jeets Shimis: You're awake! Hoy, you ain't undead, are you?
  • Jeets Shimis: Can you talk? Speak to me.
  • Jeets Shimis: Can you move?

When you talk to Jeets at the water's edge:

  • Jeets Shimis: Hoy, were you on that ship that got attacked by the dragon? You're the first survivor we've seen, and sailors been washing up for hours.
    • You: Are you looking for survivors, or looting bodies?
      • Jeets Shimis: Now don't go blaming a poor rogue for making a living! Besides, I didn't take nothing from you. You got nothing worth taking.
        • You: Yes, I seem to have misplaced my belongings.
          • Jeets Shimis: Its 'right dangerous to walk around without a blade. For my good deed of the day, I can give you something back at my camp.
            • You: All right, lead the way.
              • Jeets Shimis: Come on. Follow me. (Jeets runs towards his camp, Shipwreck Shore advanced)
    • You: (only available if you have completed The Grotto with at least one character on the server) Skip the Korthos Island story-line - Select this option for more information.
      • Jeets Shimis: You have already completed the Korthos Island story-line with another character. This option will skip you past that content.
      • Jeets Shimis: Choosing this option will unlock the transport to higher level content in Stormreach Harbor. It will also allow you to group with players who have completed the Korthos Island story-line.

While following Jeets to his camp:

  • Jeets Shimis: Follow me.
  • Jeets Shimis: The camp's up here.

If Jeets gets too far ahead of you before reaching camp:

  • Jeets Shimis: The camp's up here.
  • Jeets Shimis: This way.
  • Jeets Shimis: Come on.

After reaching Jeets camp:

  • Jeets Shimis: Here we are. So you want a weapon or not?
  • Jeets Shimis: Here's a weapon for you, but then you do me a little favor. Tit for tat, right?
    • You: Well, that depends on what you want.
      • Jeets Shimis: (Barbarian: Savage of the Wild or Bastion of the Outlands, Fighter: Vanguard Warrior) I'll take that as a yes. Here, you look like you could use this Great Axe.
        • You: Take the Great Axe.
          • Jeets Shimis: Go ahead, give it a few swings. (receive Rusty Great Axe, Shipwreck Shore advanced)
      • Jeets Shimis: (Cleric: Any Preset Path) I'll take that as a yes. Here, you look like you could use this Heavy Mace.
        • You: Take a Heavy Mace.
          • Jeets Shimis: Go ahead, give it a few swings. (receive Rusty Heavy Mace, Shipwreck Shore advanced)
      • Jeets Shimis: (Barbarian: Storm of Kargon, Bard: Any Preset Path, Fighter: Stalwart Soldier or Whirlwind Fighter, Paladin: Any Preset Path, Ranger: Tempest) I'll take that as a yes. Here, you look like you could use this Longsword.
        • You: Take a Long Sword.
          • Jeets Shimis: Go ahead, give it a few swings. (receive Rusty Longsword, Shipwreck Shore advanced)
      • Jeets Shimis: (Rogue: Thief Acrobat, Sorcerer: Any Preset Path, Wizard: Any Preset Path) I'll take that as a yes. Here, you look like you could use this Quarterstaff.
        • You: Take a Quarterstaff.
          • Jeets Shimis: Go ahead, give it a few swings. (receive Moldy Quarterstaff, Shipwreck Shore advanced)
      • Jeets Shimis: (Ranger: Deepwood Sniper or Arcane Archer, Rogue: The Dark Blade or Master Mechanic) I'll take that as a yes. Here, you look like you could use this Rapier.
        • You: Take a Rapier.
          • Jeets Shimis: Go ahead, give it a few swings. (receive Rusty Rapier, Shipwreck Shore advanced)
      • Jeets Shimis: (Any Class: Customize) I'll take that as a yes. Here, which one [sic]these do you want?
        • You: Take the Great Axe.
          • Jeets Shimis: Go ahead, give it a few swings. (receive Rusty Great Axe, Shipwreck Shore advanced)
        • You: Take a Heavy Mace.
          • Jeets Shimis: Go ahead, give it a few swings. (receive Rusty Heavy Mace, Shipwreck Shore advanced)
        • You: Take a Long Sword.
          • Jeets Shimis: Go ahead, give it a few swings. (receive Rusty Longsword, Shipwreck Shore advanced)
        • You: Take a Quarterstaff.
          • Jeets Shimis: Go ahead, give it a few swings. (receive Moldy Quarterstaff, Shipwreck Shore advanced)
        • You: Take a Light Crossbow and Bolts.
        • You: Take a Rapier.
          • Jeets Shimis: Go ahead, give it a few swings. (receive Rusty Rapier, Shipwreck Shore advanced)
        • You: (if you let dialogue time out) (receive Rusty Rapier, Shipwreck Shore advanced)

After equipping a weapon:

  • Jeets Shimis: That weapon suits you. So, ready to help me out?
    • You: What task do you have for me?
      • Jeets Shimis: Here's the deal. Cellimas is waiting for us in a cave up the path. Go 'n tell her we'll be along shortly, just as soon as we finish with all the... salvage on the beach.
        • You: That's it? Give a message to this Cellimas?
          • Jeets Shimis: Well, I'm sure Cellimas would appreciate any help you can give her too. And, it'll make her less likely to smash my noggin in when I catch up.
            • You: Very well. I'll go to this cave and help her.
              • Jeets Shimis: Cellimas is at the Grotto. Tell her to keep her knickers on. (Shipwreck Shore advanced)
    • You: Actually, do you have another weapon I can try out?
      • Jeets Shimis: Here's what I have. Go ahead, take one.
        • You: Take the Great Axe. (give up previous weapon and receive Rusty Great Axe)
        • You: Take a Heavy Mace. (give up previous weapon and receive Rusty Heavy Mace)
        • You: Take a Long Sword. (give up previous weapon and receive Rusty Longsword)
        • You: Take a Quarterstaff. (give up previous weapon and receive Moldy Quarterstaff)
        • You: Take a Rapier. (give up previous weapon and receive Rusty Rapier)
        • You: Take a Light Crossbow and Bolts. (give up previous weapon and receive Moldy Light Crossbow and 100 Bolts)
        • You: Never mind. I'll keep my current weapon. (ends conversation)

After being sent to speak with Cellimas:

  • Jeets Shimis: Cellimas is at the Grotto. Tell her to keep her knickers on.
    • You: Actually, do you have another weapon I can try out? (see "Here's what I have..." above)
    • You: Right. I'll head up there now. (ends conversation)

The Grotto[edit]

Main article: The Grotto

Jeets fights alongside you at several points during this quest. He is extremely powerful compared to the low level sahuagin.

While running through the hallway past the first gate:

  • Jeets Shimis: Cellimas isn't too honked at me. Thanks for putting in the good word!
  • Jeets Shimis: Doncha worry, Cellimas. I'm her to watch your behind now.

While waiting at the door before the sahuagin ambush:

  • Jeets Shimis: When you open the door, I got dibs on the first Sahuagin.

After opening the door leading to sahuagin ambush:

  • Jeets Shimis: Hoy, where's the bloody sahuagin?

After passing through the doorway into a chamber:

  • Jeets Shimis: Trap!

Standing in front of the locked door:

  • Jeets Shimis: Can't pick this... anyone see a key?

In response to Cellimas asking for someone to swim down and get the key:

  • Jeets Shimis: Hydrophobia mean anything to you?

While waiting for the key to be retrieved:

  • Jeets Shimis: You should swim down. Sure, you can ask Cellimas to strip and do it, but it might not be healthy.
  • Jeets Shimis: Being wet... disturbs me. You do it.

After the key is retrieved:

  • Jeets Shimis: I knew you'd come in handy, <name>. This way!

While waiting for the door to be unlocked:

  • Jeets Shimis: Don't look at me, you've got the key.

After unlocking the door but before reaching trap:

  • Jeets Shimis: You want to reconnoiter? After you, chum!

After Cellimas declares that she is weary:

  • Jeets Shimis: Ha, I still got plenty of stamina! I can go all night long!

After Cellimas suggests he scout ahead:

  • Jeets Shimis: Now you're talking! I'll take a little peep.

After trap first activates:

  • Jeets Shimis: Crikey!

At the trapped door as a class other than Rogue or Artificer:

  • Jeets Shimis: Hoy, that's a nasty trap. Lucky for you I'm here.
    • You: Why is that?
      • Jeets Shimis: Only blokes with Rogue skills can deal with traps. Blokes like me! Doncha worry, if you really want to, you can find a trainer to teach you Rogue abilities. Once you've got enough experience to handle it, that is.

At the trapped door as a Rogue or Artificer:

  • Jeets Shimis: Hoy, you want to disable that trap:
    • You: How do I go about disabling a trap?
      • Jeets Shimis: Fresh off the ruddy boat, ain't ya? All right then, first you gotta find the bloody control box. Search for it, right? After you find it, just use your special rogue skills to disable the device!
        • You: All right, wait here while I try this out. (ends conversation)
    • You: This isn't really my forte. Why don't you go ahead and disable it?
      • Jeets Shimis: So you're one of those knife in the back types? That's fine by me, as long as it's not my back. I'll handle the trap. (Jeets runs to disable the trap)
    • You: Of course. Wait here while I deal with this. (ends conversation)

If Jeets disables the trap:

  • Jeets Shimis: Ha! It was no match for yours truly! You can open the door now.
  • Jeets Shimis: You can open the door now.

If you disable the trap:

  • Jeets Shimis: Nice! Not that I don't trust your skills, but why don't you go through [sic]door first?
  • Jeets Shimis: You can open the door now.

At door leading to the Sahuagin High Priestess:

  • Jeets Shimis: That's a Devourer shrine in there. They're nasty business.

After Cellimas says she is going to cleanse the profane energies:

  • Jeets Shimis: Let Cellimas do her thing. You 'n I'll take care of the important stuff: The treasure!

While waiting for chest to be opened:

  • Jeets Shimis: I've got my share. Go ahead and take what you want from the chest.

After chest is opened and before secret door is found:

  • Jeets Shimis: My rogue senses are tingling. There's something fishy in this room. Try searching around.

After the secret door is found:

  • Jeets Shimis: Found the secret passage? Go on, open it then.

After opening the secret door:

  • Jeets Shimis: Brilliant! Tidy lasses and pints up the wazoo, here I come!

While waiting near the exit to The Grotto:

  • Jeets Shimis: This is the end kiddo. Good journey and what not. Yeah, try not to cry...

Misery's Peak[edit]

Main article: Misery's Peak

After rescuing Lars Heyton, and being directed at Misery's Peak, you will find again Jeets and his party.

  • Jeets Shimis: Hoy, you haven't gotten into any more shipwrecks, have you?

After you destroy the Mindsunder, he will meet you with the others:

  • Jeets Shimis: Hey! Over here!
  • Jeets Shimis: Next time, you fight the Dragon and I'll break the crystal.

The Harbor[edit]

Main article: The Harbor

Jeets can be found outside The Wayward Lobster and is a Rogue Trainer.

  • Jeets Shimis: Hoy, <name>! Made it to Stormreach then - good for you!
  • Jeets Shimis: The Harbor's a great place for an adventurer such as yourself. All sorts of folk willing to shell out a pretty copper for your services. Just chat 'em up and see that they want!
  • Jeets Shimis: Now, if you fancy learning some Rogue tricks, I'd be honored to shaz it up with you.

I Dream of Jeets[edit]

Main article: I Dream of Jeets

Jeets' mind is being kept imprisoned by his four (five?) main desires: Treasure, confort, ale, (pork products) and the desire to do good. During the three firsts, you are fighting dream monsters that are giving out what he desires most, to unify his mind and allow him to return to the real world. However, once his material desires no longer work to keep him imprisoned, the Devourer of Dreams makes his last move, and throws him against you, using the Damsel in Distress to cast you as the villain.

Jeets will attack you during this fight, but cannot be killed. You can, however, knock him out for about 20 seconds at a time, after which he heals to about 10% health and resumes attacking. For more on this, see the page Jeets.

Once the damsel falls, the Devourer of Dreams loses his last hold over Jeets, and you can snap him out of his dreams, ending the quest.

Wylkes Manor[edit]

Main article: Inspired Quarter

While affected by the eternal sleep effect, Jeets only give out murmurs about his dreams. He can be heard saying:

  • "... zzzzz ..."
  • "... mmmmphf ..."
  • "... Give me another, barkeep ..."
  • "... Don't worry, girls, there's plenty of Jeets to go around ..."
  • "... Crikey, look at all that treasure!"
  • "... No! Stay out of my dreams!"
  • "... Celimas ..."
  • "BACON!"

Once you finish I Dream of Jeets, he awakes, but still requires rest. However, he trusts you with some info:

  • Jeets Shimis: Unh ... What's going on? My head feels like a pack of monsters had an all-night bash in it and didn't wash up after.
  • Jeets Shimis: Wait ... I remember now! You've got to go to the Dar Qat Trade Mission and stop them from taking over Stormreach!
    • You: Stop who? What happened?
      • Jeets Shimis: I went to the Trade Mission and those Dar Qat blokes aren't what they claim to be. They've got a Mindsunder hidden away and they're using its, whatdoyoucallit, psychic energy to convert everyone in Stormreach ito mindless followers in a matter of days!
      • Jeets Shimis: You've got to go to the Trade Mission and destroy the Mindsunder!
      • Jeets Shimis: ... But I wouldn't walk in through the front door if I were you. That place is crawling with guards. Try to find somewhere you can get in sneaky-like.
        • You: All right, I'll go to the Trade Mission and destroy the Mindsunder. (Bestow quest)
    • You: Slow down. First tell me what happened to you inside the Inspiration Center.
      • Jeets Shimis: After I discovered the Dar Qat lot was up to no good I went to the Inspiration Center to see how it tied in.
      • Jeets Shimis: I made an, ah, unauthorized entry through one of the back doors and was looking around when some geezer in a robe spotted me. Then I fell asleep for some reason ...
      • Jeets Shimis: After that all I remember is dreaming of girls, gold, and gallons of ale. And you.
      • Jeets Shimis: Here now, what were you doing inside my dream?
        • You: I'll explain later. Right now tell me what you found out about the Trade Mission. (see above)

Talking to him after acquiring the quest, but before completion, will make him say:

  • Jeets Shimis: Oof, my head feels like there are a dozen air elementals bouncing around up there - but why are you still there? Go to the Trade Mission and destroy the Mindsunder!

On completion of quest, he will congratulate you with the following:

  • Jeets Shimis: Mm, what? You destroyed the Mindsunder? Well done!
  • Jeets Shimis: Maybe now we can all finally get a proper night's rest, full of sweet dreams of victory ... and treasure ... and ale ... zzzzzzz.

After completing the quest and take the reward, if you talk to him again, he will reply:

  • Jeets Shimis: Mmmf ... I must have dozed off again. But hold on, that Mindsunder at the Trade Mission needs to be destroyed!
