Barrel's Bottom[edit]
If you try to talk to him while at level 2 or lower, he will reply:
- Lars Riflee: Aye, good day, good day. Not such a good day for Cap'n Lars, mayhap...
If you are at level 3 or higher, however, he will reply:
- Lars Riflee: A moment o' your time, friend?
- You: What can I do for you?
- Lars Riflee: The name's Lars Riflee. Friends all call me Cap'n Lars.
- Lars Riflee: I've a thrivin' trade with the mainland, you might say, but I've lately run into a spot o' bad luck... my bad luck goes by the name o' Ruug's Rogues.
- Lars Riflee: They've an unfortunate penchant for ambushing me ships.
- You: Your ship need protection? I can provide it. (Bestow quest)
- Lars Riflee: That's uncommonly generous. If yer serious, me ship is ready to sail with the tide.
- You: Your ship need protection? I can provide it. (Bestow quest)
- You: Be off! I have no time for beggars' stories. (Walk away)
- You: What can I do for you?
Talking to him after acquiring the quest, but before completion, will make him say:
- Lars Riflee: Still here? I thought you were off to guard me boar....
- You: I'm ready to go now.
- You: I can't leave yet. I'll be back later.
On completion of quest, he will congratulate you with the following:
- Lars Riflee: Har har! I wonder what ol' Ruug thinks now, eh?
- Lars Riflee: Aye, that was fine work! You saved me ship! And the boys tell me you fought like the Devourer himself!
After completing the quest and take the reward, if you talk to him again, he will reply:
- Lars Riflee: Thanks again t'ye, friend.
- Lars Riflee: My ships have been sailin' clear since you gave Ruug's rascals that fair lashing.
- Lars Riflee: Good on ye—ye'll always have a friend in Cap'n Lars!
