If you try to talk to him while at level 2 or lower, he will reply:

• Marteen Worley: The spirit motions for you to come nearer.

If you are at level 3 or higher, however, he will reply:

• Marteen Worley: Please ... help me! I, I can't do much in my current state.... You must save my brother!
• Marteen Worley: Several weeks ago, Farrier and I were snooping around an old storehouse and stumbled on a pirate's smuggling operation - Khyber take them! I was caught, and my brother got away.
• Marteen Worley: And then ... Farrier came back for me! But I was accidentally killed, and he got himself caught in the process.
• You: You were accidentally killed?
• Marteen Worley: Yes, the smugglers were holding me in an ancient prison. its elaborate traps were too much for me ... and Farrier is still stuck there. Pleaase, find my brother and free him!
• You: Yes. I will free your brother. (Bestow quest)
• Marteen Worley: Thank you, thank you!
• Marteen Worley: The prison is a far walk from Three Barrel, I'm afraid. If you head north and west, and don't stop until only the open sea is in front of you, then you'll come across the wreckage of the Rotten Shark. The prison entrance is underwater, just south of the Shark.
• Marteen Worley: One more thing... my brother won't be safe anywhere, now that he knows about the pirates' smuggling. Please take make sure none of them are left to come after Farrier.

Talking to him after acquiring the quest, but before completion, will make him say:

• Marteen Worley: Please hurry. Free my brother!
• You: I'm on my way.

On completion of quest, he will congratulate you with the following:

• Marteen Worley: Did you find my brother? Did you save him? Is he alive? Please tell me he's alright.
• You: Yes, your brother is no longer prisoner.
• Marteen Worley: I can't thank you enough. I felt so terrible for him, leaving him all alone like that. Please ... accept this token of my gratitude. It's the least I could do.
• You: All in a day's work. Thank you.

After completing the quest and take the reward, if you talk to him again, he will reply:

• Marteen Worley: Thank you so much for saving my brother.
