Pillar (Vault of Night)
Race: Inanimate Object (List)
Monster Manual classification: Unknown
Alignment: True Neutral
Rare: No
Organization: Three in the Plane of Night raid
CR: 0
Attack: None: it's an inanimate object.
Special Qualities: DR3-10/-, DR1000/Slashing or Bludgeoning, Immunity to all elemental damage, rust and sonic. Alignment, Light, Force and Negative Energy damage works normally.
Habitat:
Description: These pillars are a raid mechanic designed to test players' ability to work together as a team. You are require to kill all three within 15 seconds of each other, or they will fully regenerate. Due to their strong immunities, the best option tends to be strong melee damage. If no melee are present in the group, any class with a two-hander should be able to bring these down eventually.
Note they are nearly immune to piercing damage. This was done to discourage attempt to kill the pillars from afar without aggroing their guardians. You should use crowd control abilities on the guardians while you prepare the pillars (or Djinni on epic difficulties).
HP: About 1500, does not vary with difficulty.
