• Snake guard the tunnels that allow people to escape the prison. If they pay a fee, of course.
• His name and appearance (the eyepatch) is based on Snake Plissken, from the movies Escape From New York and Escape From L.A.

Abandoned Tunnels

Anytime you approach him, he will talk to you amicably:

• Snake: You! The magistrates said you'd be coming.
• Snake: I told them that the prisoners would cut you up and use you for rat bait ... Seems that I was wrong.
• Snake: Do you want to go back to Wheloon Harbor? Snake can lead you there.
  • You: Take me back to Wheloon Harbor. (Transported back)
  • You: I thought there was no escape from Wheloon Prison?
    • Snake: No escape above the ground, maybe!
    • Snake: But beneath the ground ... there are ways. Tunnels and caves that the magistrates never found.
    • Snake: But Snake knows about them. And the magistrates pay me plenty to stay quiet!
    • Snake: They also pay me plenty to take you out of here. Do you want to go or not?
  • You: You're not a snake. You're one of the lizardfolk!
    • Snake: Clever! Very clever for a <race>! Perharps for your next trick you will catch a bit of meat in your teeth!
    • Snake: No, I am not a snake. It is what your kind call a "nickname." In this case it means my favorite food.
    • Snake: Ah, for a nest of baby vipers, still wriggling! ... Now I'm hungry.
