Ataraxia's Haven[edit]

If you try to talk to him, he will reply:

  • Sykros: This island belongs to me—every square inch of it! I paid the Coin Lords a small fortune for the right to turn this place into a resort. I named it 'Ataraxia's Haven,' after my daughter, and I hoped to attract the wealthiest travelers in Eberron to its shores. What did I find when I got here? Trolls? Yes. Wildmen? Yes. Hyenas? Yes! But did any of those nuisances stop me from pursuing my dream?
  • You: Erm... yes?
  • Sykros: No! I hired a famous druid, Leros Levithas, to control the wild nuisances, and I started to build my perfect resort! But Leros and I were both helpless when the duergar arrived. Before we could summon help, they imprisoned my daughter in a ruined lighthouse for 'trespassing.' And while I begged for her freedom, they dug a vast mine beneath my property! By the time they release Aataraxia, my island and my dreams will be ruined!
  • You: Perhaps not. For a fair reward, I will rescue Ataraxia. (Bestow quest)
  • Sykros: You must sneak into the lighthouse through a series of secret caves. Be quick, and do nothing to endanger my daughter!

Talking to him after acquiring the quest, but before completion, will make he say:

  • Sykros: The duergar are keeping Ataraxia imprisoned in an old lighthouse. You can sneak up on them through the caves beneath the island, but you won't escape their notice forever. Be ready to fight, but please, do nothing to risk my daughter's life!

On completion of quest, he will congratulate you with the following:

  • Sykros: My dear Ataraxia is free! The duergar will blackmail me no longer! But they are still digging and despoiling, and I have no army to drive them away. If you would further pursue the cause of justice, speak with Leros Levithas. My resident druid is furious about the damage to our island, and would gladly help you strike a blow against the deep dwarves.
  • You: The duergar have not earned my friendship. I may have a word with Leros.
  • Sykros: My daughter is free! Now I can confront the duergar without fear. I swear that this island will be mine!

After completing the quest and taking the reward, if you talk to him again, he will reply:

  • Sykros: My dear Ataraxia is free! The duergar will blackmail me no longer! But they are still digging and despoiling, and I have no army to drive them away. If you would further pursue the cause of justice, speak with Leros Levithas. My resident druid is furious about the damage to our island, and would gladly help you strike a blow against the deep dwarves.
