Lamannia Notice[edit]

Is it appropiate to add a Lam notice seem as we already have Challenges in the game (Crystal Cove)? UltraMonk 00:51, October 20, 2011 (EDT)

F2P tokens[edit]

The F2P tokens do not come in stacks of 5. First day i got 3, today only 1 ~~Zzelly

My barb and monk each got 1, and my bard got 3. And I got one challenge on my barb and bard this afternoon, and another on my monk this evening... people around me got the same ones around the same time. Dunno what the timeframe is... -LrdSlvrhnd 21:51, November 10, 2011 (EST)
Turbine's explanation is here on compendium but its really vague ofc. --yoko5000 23:42, November 10, 2011 (EST)

Stars[edit]

"Which objective you complete isn't whats one time, but exactly what star you get." This line confuses the heck out of me, no matter how I try to parse it. Also, if you complete two objectives one time and a third objective (but not the first two) your next run, d'you get bonus XP, or just the base XP? In other words, does the bonus XP depend on the specific objectives, or simply the total number of stars you earned in a run? LrdSlvrhnd 19:44, November 16, 2011 (EST)

On Explaining about Bonus XP from Stars[edit]

13:40, 18 November, 2011 (EST) Shade and Azer Draco (myself) have a difference of opinion in how to explain just how the bonus XP is awarded.

Other related mechanics[edit]

Scores[edit]

You get 1 Favor point for each star, and 1 additional Favor point if you achieve all 5 stars and run the challenge at its maximum available CR, for a total of 6 Favor.

I believe that it would read much clearer as:

Each Star gives 1 Favor, with an additional 1 Favor bonus for gold (earning all stars at maximum level).

The original explanation read as:

Stars also reward a large amount of bonus XP, however this bonus XP is a 1 time only reward. Which objective you complete isn't whats one time, but exactly what star
you get. EG: Getting 3 stars on run #1 will net a good amount of experience, as you are being awarded base XP + bonus xp for star 1, bonus xp for star 2 and
bonus xp for star 3. If on a later run you get 4 stars, you will get less total XP, as you are only being awarded the base XP + bonus XP for star 4.

This is very confusing, so I suggest this change:

Bonus XP is awarded the first time a star (optional objective) is earned.
The objective completed does not matter. Bonus XP is awarded based on the total number of objectives completed.
 Consider the following:
 * Objectives 1, 2, and 3 are achieved in a single run. Bonus XP would be awarded for 3 stars.
 * Objectives 1, 4, and 5 are achieved in the following run. No Bonus XP would be awarded.
 * Objectives 1, 2, 4, and 5 are achieved in a following run. Bonus XP would be awarded for 1 star. (the fourth star earned)

Shade, please add your comments here. There's no need for an edit war, nor is there reason for information to be unclear. Between everyone who constructively edits and maintains this Wiki, we can clearly explain anything. --Azer Draco

First off, really please start signing your talk posts, and read the Wikiquette article. That or use the {{post|0|~~~| template.

I don't mind you re-wording the paragraph, but I do if you completely remove info, as you did.

The favor thing, I disagree. I don't see any rational as to why thats clearer. It just looks like a shorter sentence that leaves out the total favor amount (6). You can re-word it to include the fact 6 star means the same thing as Gold-starring a challenge if you wish, but leave in the max favor per challenge.

XP thing, well your explanation is wrong and leaves out details again: A) Calling them optionals is misleading, because one of them isn't optional, and no xp is awarded unless the first star is achieved. B) You get bonus XP for the first star.. Even though its required to win, essentially this means the first run always grants more XP. I think this is a bit confusing so I like to specificly point it out, your example doesn't really specificly say it gives xtra xp. C) Three examples that say the same thing I explained in two. Don't see how that clearer.

You can reword it if you wish, just don't leave out any important detail or an consise example please. Just explain why it is confusing, and why yours is clearer, atm I don't see it.

Temporary Buffs[edit]

I noticed that the buff orbs are NOT randomly colored. Each buff have a specific color, and can be taken when needed. I took screenshots of every buff available, but couldn't find anywhere on the wiki where it is discussed. Shall I create a new page for it? And if so, where should I link it on the main article? (Not having english as my main language show up my insecurity into creating non-templated pages) Nibelung (ContributionsMessage) 17:07, December 23, 2012 (EST)

Go ahead and upload a few different ones so I can see what you are talking about... I'm not confident that I am understanding you English correctly.
ShoeMaker (Contributions Message) 23:57, December 23, 2012 (EST)
Uploaded the images just to show up their differences (image popup): Double speed is green
, hate magnet is orange
, high jump is violet
, invincibility is yellow
, life replenish is white
, and Quad Damage is red
. There is a blue one for invisibility too, but looks like I failed to take the screenshot of this one. I'll get it tomorrow. Nibelung (ContributionsMessage) 00:14, December 24, 2012 (EST)
I approve of this. I would place them all on the same page. As for page title ummm... Ill get back on that. There is a orb that gives 1 minute of time but its very rare for it to drop Ive only seen a handful appear Bladedge (ContributionsMessage) 12:32, December 24, 2012 (EST)
Okay, that is what I thought you meant. To me, it is VERY difficult to distinguish any difference in color on most of them. I understand what you want to try to do, and I have no issue with you putting them all on a Challenges/Temporary buffs which can be called into the main Challenges page in its own == Temporary Buffs == section with {{:Challenges/Temporary buffs}}.

XP bonus for running above-level[edit]

The page describes an XP penalty for running below level. Is there a bonus to XP for running above level, similar to the bonus to score?
