Radius[edit]

In DDO the cure spells are ranged. I think it is aprox. 30ft radius. I'm not sure about it, but are touch attacks still existent in DDO? I would bet that even those nasty "curse" spells are ranged now in DDO. Even the non melee characters seem to get cursed frequently though they stay distant to any opponent.--Ziu 00:27, February 16, 2006 (PST)

I think you're right and there is no touch attack in DDO, though it would be good to check range for each spell (but then we need a way to measure distance, maybe by running time?) -- Tihocan 09:09, February 16, 2006 (PST)
If there is some sort of API for mods, making one to measure speed, and therefore distance, would be easy to do. (post by Peerless - see his talk and contribs.) 09:38, February 16, 2006 (PST)
I am not aware of any such API. I actually tried to sniff some DDO packets to try to log die rolls, and couldn't get anything useful out of them ;) -- Tihocan 10:04, February 16, 2006 (PST)
No API!!! Lame game. That just turned my opnion of the game 180° - no way I am buying DDO... next up: darkfall! Woot. Woot. (post by Peerless - see his talk and contribs.) 11:15, February 16, 2006 (PST)
Hehe, well it all depends on what you expect from a game. If you want to mess with it like it seems to be possible with WoW, you'll probably be disappointed. If you want to play a DnD MMORPG, you don't have a lot of choice ;) -- Tihocan 12:57, February 16, 2006 (PST)

Amount of healing[edit]

I've noticed that my healing spell does not deal the expected 1d8 + 5 HP. At Clr10, which no Devotion Enhancement and no Devotion Items, I'm getting in the 8 to 13 range. That looks more like a 1d6+7 to me. Only thing I can guess is that they've decided to make it a 1d6, and use the BAB instead of level. - User:64.180.249.248 08:43, October 17, 2006 (EDT)

Have you considered posting that info to the information project? [e] · t & c 09:07, October 17, 2006 (EDT)
Thanks for the tip. According to them, though, the formula is 1d6+2+MIN(CASTER_LEVEL,5), which fits perfectly with my results. Perhaps we should update the main page? - User:64.180.249.248 09:31, October 17, 2006 (EDT)
Yeah, sure, we should. I should have done it a long time ago, actually. Just toooooooo many things to do :/ Don't forget to replicate any change in the corresponding spell lists Tihocan 14:35, October 17, 2006 (EDT)
