Cleansing Ritual[edit]

Dispel Magic scroll → 3 Tokens[edit]

Does this still hold true ? Neouni 12:10, January 27, 2011 (EST)

no. you now need to spend 3 dungeon tokens to do that, as stated on our article. --yoko5000 21:11, January 27, 2011 (EST)

Broken items[edit]

hmm, "some" Epic Altar recipes... okay we obviously cant see what exactly are they on Altar UI since it still uses old non-listing UI. Siberys Dragonshards? what type of? and any clue what the "recipe overlap" mean? duh, its just way too vague. --yoko5000 (ContributionsMessage) 21:48, January 13, 2013 (EST)

Cleanup[edit]

Blue Augment Crystal of Extreme Power - +7 enhancement bonus for Armor

Removed this from the page, as I felt it was cluttering. I would like to eventually get separate pages for each augment crystal, but for now I have tooltip popups with the same information. --- Taurolyon 16:21, May 6, 2011 (EDT)

I'm sorry, but these are some ugly changes. It's gone from informative to cluttered. It's an eyesore. 24.58.179.134 21:04, May 9, 2011 (EDT)

Catalysts[edit]

What are the Catalysts? What do they do? Also, the Spell Focus augments - do those stack to improve spell DCs beyond what the standard feats do? Or, do they only grant the feats of the same name (redundant if you already have)? --Cauthey 11:53, September 6, 2011 (EDT)

Catalysts let you choose which slot the augment goes in, and lets the game know where to put them. Since some augment slots can accept multiple types, they are neccesary. EG: Item has both a green slot and a blue slot, and you want to put a blue augment in the green slot.. You need a green catalyst.
Spell focus augments fucntional exactly like any item with a spell focus on it. They do fully stack with all feats, but not with each other. EG: Necromancy +1 on a epic item wont give any benefit if you already wear say the reavers cloak which is spell focus mastery +1 (+1 for all spell schools). And yea as a general rule, feats always stack with everything item wise, unless the feat specificly states otherwise in its description. --Shade 12:24, September 6, 2011 (EDT)

New Augmentation System (U17)[edit]

The DDO community channel on YouTube mentioned that there is a new augmentation system coming in update 17. Does anyone have any news on how it will work? Should we wait before augmenting any items?

Where is it?[edit]

As a new player I have no idea where it can be found. Where is the altar located?

Update 50 rewrite?[edit]

Who feels the desire to rewrite this whole page, after Update 50? It needs to be done, as the way we all have it is currently totally obsolete... GMTrojan (ContribsMessage) 20:02, August 7, 2021 (EDT)

  • I have that on my task list and have some drafts. But we also have to decide if we cover Epic Crafting and Legendary Crafting in one or two pages Corgrind (ContribsMessage) 05:28, August 8, 2021 (EDT)
  • Whatever works best. I already put in a "legendary crafting" in the crafting slot for an item edit, but we can change that if/when necessary. GMTrojan (ContribsMessage) 17:55, August 8, 2021 (EDT)
  • As the new Legendary Crafting is linked to the previous "epic crafting", I would suggest renaming it and cover both crafting options. After all, it is just an additional crafting tier that uses the same ingredients and it works only for either previous epic crafted items or the items of the new pack SisAmethyst (ContribsMessage) 18:46, August 24, 2021 (EDT)
  • Then, if so, then I think that we need to figure out how to create a way on the epic version of items to say that they are no longer "fully upgraded"... GMTrojan (ContribsMessage) 19:12, August 24, 2021 (EDT)
  • The "fully upgraded" text is IIRC the result of using the parameter |epic. In my opinion, we should sunset that function completely. Here's my proposal on how to handle this on item pages: Delete the |epic parameter and use this. Cru121 (ContribsMessage) 09:08, August 25, 2021 (EDT)
|quest = Altar of Epic Rituals
|turn in = Sword of Shadow + upgrade ingredients
|crafting = Altar of Legendary Rituals
|craftingupgrade = Legendary Sword of Shadow
