Are we sure that the Sculpted Hound has a chest that supersedes the puzzle's chest, rather than it just being the puzzle chest even if he spawns?
Additionally, which is the trap that's only on Elite? Is it the one in the western secret room, with the doomspheres? Or Dead Pyxzyl's room? 'Cause I didn't notice either of them activating on Normal... LrdSlvrhnd 14:18, November 7, 2011 (EST)
Not sure on these... Hound: I think its a different one, as it changes appearance iirc.. Tho not sure, been a while since i saw him, he is quite rare.
Elite only trap: Think its the air jets that make it difficult to navigate to the secret door chest. The blades in front of dead pykzyl are just random, or may have even been removed since they fixed him to be able to leave pursue you if you retreat.

- Well, I've been in the quest twice, and I've gotten him once... so either I'm lucky, or he's not THAT rare *g* Guess we'll have to take screenshots to check...
Don't recall any blades around DP's room the first time, either. But then I was kinda busy saying "Oh, crap, undead beholder! ...I'm just gonna hide out here with my gimpy hagglebard without deathblock, now that I've finished singing..."
EDIT: Make that 1 out of 3 times. And it's definitely a different chest - Hound has an actual chest, regularly it's a lockbox.
EDIT 2: Make that 2 out of 3 times, he showed up behind the other secret door - again replacing the lockbox. LrdSlvrhnd 16:00, November 7, 2011 (EST)
Yes, when the Sculpted Hound shows up his chest (standard chest image) replaces the lockbox (box in a tripod image). However this does not seem to change the loot drops in any way. Neither form of chest has anything named. -Niminae (Contribs • Message • Email) 02:48, February 27, 2017 (EST)
