Just noticed that there are now 3 scores of 135 with different results suggesting that the rewards are random. Is this pointless? Snake (Contributions • Message

Probably. But we have to gather a big ammount of data before we can say that it is random. Maybe things work like festifult coins, with higher chance for recipes in a specific score. Thus far, it LOOKS random. Nibelung (Contributions • Message) 20:05, January 12, 2013 (EST)

Different values this year?[edit]

It's starting to look to me like this different iteration has changed the recipes or values and I'd like to discuss if it might not be a good idea to start with a fresh log. I never found the log to be extremely helpful since the rewards appear to be random and we do not have enough data points to pin things down further (it's obvious from the two graphs that the data isn't that tightly correlated, though I don't know the actual value for that). Motes are still Score/3, rounded down. I'm more in favor of completely removing the log, but I have a feeling my opinion is in the minority. Habreno (Contribs • Message) 17:46, January 26, 2016 (EST)

5:55 DDOstream: Sorry I don't know Shoe - I've always heard conflicting reports from the devs on midwinter.
5:55 DDOstream: The person who made it claims its random, but another dev who looked into it felt it was random within bands (so lower scores would give recipes X-Y, medium Z-A, etc.)
5:56 DDOstream: My personal experience is that it seems to be semi-random within bands, although I don't know the exact specifics.
5:57 DDOstream: I know that if I'm going for lower-level recipes, I try to get bad scores, then do around 600 for the 5-9ish stuff
