Buffs[edit]
I don't know if this made it into Live, but on Lama there was a rare-ish debuff that said "I bypass player fortification"... I died to that one many, many times.— previous unsignedPlease sign posts using ~~~~ comment by 71.92.82.62 (d | r | b ) at 21:23, September 18, 2019 (UTC)
Chest ransack[edit]
- The chests don't obey any sort of ransack - a few hundred champion chests in the same quest and no degradation in loot.
- You can get rems to drop from champion barrels animated by a spellward.
- You can get rems from a champion slave when you fail the roll to free them of their collar.
No idea how to work it in, or if even worth mentioning. -Mireru (Contributions • Message) 03:22, February 21, 2015 (EST)
Champion Bosses[edit]
I have seen plenty of end bosses with the campion status. Some of them were:
- Hesstess from Eyes of Stone.
- Kaboom from Undermine.
- Molnm from Grim and Barett.
- Gur'noras the Slaad from Subversion.
- Both Kerchac and Lady Mourne from Demon Assault.
Dont know if its WAI to get championed end bosses but that is my experience with them. Sforza (Contribs • Message • Email) 21:43, November 9, 2016 (EST)
I believe red-name champions are a bug but no confirmation/source. Habreno (Contribs • Message • Email) 01:12, November 10, 2016 (EST)

Accuracy[edit]
I'm trying to get some clarity on champions. I've never paid this much attention to monster stats in-game so I hope that I'm just not aware of something obvious. In the current Hardcore event (v4) I have screenshots for the new Symbiont of Ysgithyrwyn champion showing 6 buffs/debuffs. As I took these screenshots myself, I can attest to the fact that these were during an Elite difficulty quest.
[would post link to screenshots here but blocked by spam filter]
At 6 active buffs, it seems to contradict the assertion that champions can only have 3 buffs/debuffs on an elite quest (i.e. 2 tier 1 buffs, 1 tier 2 buff, and since it's elite, no tier 3 buff possible).
I hope I'm misinterpreting something! Can anyone clarify? ⇒ Sarkastik (Contribs • Message • Email)
- This type of champion may have 6 buffs as it's in the hardcore server. The developers are not restricted to that number of buffs. ⇒ Faltout (Contribs • Message • Email) 04:06, April 4, 2021 (EDT)
- Yeah, that's why I made the champion ability table not standard in HC champion page. --⇒ Targal (Contribs • Message • Email) 05:25, April 4, 2021 (EDT)
- That makes sense, but I also just checked on a regular server and see a tier 1 Archeron champion with three buffs: Sunderer, Extra Fortification, and Damage Boost. Is Damage Boost common to all and just not listed in the table, or have things changed? ⇒ Sarkastik (Contribs • Message • Email) 11:36, April 4, 2021 (EDT)
- I'm also getting tier 3 champions occasionally when running on Hard difficulty ⇒ Sarkastik (Contribs • Message • Email) 12:27, April 4, 2021 (EDT)
- Damage boost is something all champions have. Orange mini-bosses appear as red (tier 3 champions), but they are not really. Is that what you are observing? ⇒ Faltout (Contribs • Message • Email) 12:30, April 4, 2021 (EDT)
- Yep, thanks that's exactly what I saw ⇒ Sarkastik (Contribs • Message • Email) 16:25, April 4, 2021 (EDT)
- Got it, thanks Targal. Fantastic work compiling all this champion info for hardcore, thanks very much!

Future Champions/Buff Strategy for the Wiki[edit]
<dreamtime>
Buffs[edit]
- I'm thinking it makes sense to have a separate page for each buff/debuff (with a single underlying template). Buffs (and debuffs) by my definition are:
- For players, any player effect that has (or ought to have) a corresponding UI visual icon in the buff/debuff UI area of the player UI
- buffs appear in the buff UI area
- debuffs appear in the debuff UI area
- this is the only significant distinction between 'buff' and 'debuff'
- For monsters, any monster effect that has (or ought to have) a visual icon in the monster stats display
- For players, any player effect that has (or ought to have) a corresponding UI visual icon in the buff/debuff UI area of the player UI
Champions[edit]
- Champions would have a template that links to 1 or more of each:
- Tier 1 abilities: buffs that occur on tier 1 (or higher) champions
- Tier 2 abilities: buffs that occur on tier 2 (or higher) champions
- Tier 3 abilities: buffs that occur on tier 3 champions
Other[edit]
- spell/SLA/feat/enhancement pages could directly link to the buff they provide
