this article itself is well-written, but isnt it a bit too long? and i think this page with current form should be categorized as a guide page, rather than a game mechanic page. can we consider moving current content to a different title, then going back to this revision? --yoko5000 22:13, April 7, 2011 (EDT)

Might have a point. I did the latest major revision. I'll look into moving the mechanics into a separate page so this central page just deals with the definition and what to expect, as opposed to the party tips. It looks like my revision has redundancies to What should I bring to a raid? as well, so I'll do what I can for a cleanup (maybe break up the break ups) --Spencerian 11:48, April 19, 2011 (EDT)
I've merged much of the player needs into What should I bring to a raid?, and concised this article back. Hopefully that's more fitting. --Spencerian 12:50, April 19, 2011 (EDT)

Listing all raids[edit]

I have great problems with the wording of this articl. How this article communicated the names of the raids themselves, so to say.

First, there is no raid listed in the article itself, except end game raids. To the unused eye this appears as if there were no raids at all - except end game raids. Then, after reading through this list, and reachong the very end of this article, there is an appendix, calle "gfurther reading", or, in other words : "See also."

The communicative impression that a new player gets here is that, that raiding is an exclusive end game activity.

To put it cynically, non- endgame raids are silenced to death. this article - whoich is about raiding - lists NO other raids except end game raids, thus producing the impression as if raiding was an activity that is to be found solely in end gaming.

This is like a filter. Like a ... funnel, funneling players into end game raiding, now showing at all that there are raids at a variety of levels available - and that these raids are placed under a single ( ! ) link called "see also". Like "there's an appendix of further information not necessary to read if you want to understand this topic at all." And under this "unneccessary information" are placed all non-endgame raids. Thus filtering them out from the general field view.

Imho, there should be a table , located directly within this article, built like the quests tables are, listing name, place, favour, xp, level. Alrik (ContribsMessage) 12:10, October 30, 2021 (EDT)

  • I'd have no issue with including a collapsed transclusion of the list of raids in a section on this page in the appropriate location, maybe some place between the 2nd and 4th section. I also have no issue with it if you want to do a little rewording of the text to make it more new player friendly. Remember that the majority of this page was created years ago and the last edit of any consequence to update the content of the page (other than a little this or that here or there) was about three years ago.  👟 ShoeMaker ( Talk • Contribs • Patrol • Moves • B • D • I • PP • UM • UR ) 👟 21:38, October 30, 2021 (EDT)

Tier Discrepancy[edit]

Legendary Vision of Destruction and Legendary Lord of Blades are listed as Tier 4 here, but as Tier 3 on the Item:Thread of Fate page. I'm not sure which is correct. --174.250.56.9 (Message • Block • Check) 10:50, January 5, 2022 (EST)

  • Good spot. From the loot level and spark drop, they must be tier 4. I'll correct Thread of Fate. PurpleSerpent (ContribsMessage) 11:45, January 5, 2022 (EST)
