AoE[edit]

My experience with Sonic Blast has shown that:

  • The projectile can fly straight past mobs, and have no effect, however far away the mob is.
  • Mobs at a fair distance are hit once the projectile has impacted something. This includes mobs perpendicular to the projectile's path.
  • Firing at the ground, at very short range, between several mobs, will affect all nearby mobs, even those behind the caster (see Media:SonicBlastAoE.jpg).
  • The AoE travels through structures, such as the small tombs in Delera's Graveyard (the same as other AoE spells, I guess?)

So from what I can tell, it's not a conical AoE, but a standard explosive one.

Mainly the word "fireball-like" I don't really think is accurate. Fireball has a HUGE aoe, 2nd largest of any spell in the game imo, pretty much 2nd only to DBF. My test of sonic blast showed the AOE width to be fairly small, perhaps half of what fireball was. So yea, call ied a "small aoe" if anything, not a "fireball aoe". Fireball i'd describe as large.

I get what your saying in that its a 360 aoe, or circular.. Use words like those.

Yes, I was referring to the shape, rather than the size. The times I have used Fireball, it's actually been pretty hard to see its effective blast radius, due to the enormous firey explosion! ^_^ Raumkraut 21:36, October 30, 2011 (EDT)
