Description[edit]

Overview: Unyielding offers great durability, a new taunt mechanic and some powerful healing tools. The playstyle has become more active rewarding attacking with only intermitted blocking. Useful for pure tanks or anyone looking to increase their survivability.

Core Abilities[edit]

Unyielding.png
Unyielding: You gain the Diehard feat. Each core ability of this tree, including this one, grants the following:
  • +35 Maximum Hit Points
  • +20 maximum Spell Points
  • +5 Melee Power

Ward Against Darkness.png
Ward Against Darkness: You are protected by a ward against curses. This ward can absorb one curse every 60 seconds. You take 10% less Evil damage.

Stand Against the Tide.png
Stand Against the Tide: You are immune to most forms of Knockdown while wearing a shield.
EDP Cost: 1 Ranks: 1 Progression: 10 Requires: Ward Against Darkness, Character Level 26
Last Hope.png
Last Hope: When you drop below 20% health you gain +50 Melee Power and Physical and Magical Resistance Rating for 8 seconds and you apply the Heal spell yourself as the divine spell, four times over the duration of the effect. This can only occur once every 5 minutes, or if you have the Guardian Angel feat, once every 3 minutes.

Divine Energy Resistance.png
Divine Energy Resistance: Cost: 15 Spell Points This SLA grants 35 resistance to Acid, Cold, Fire, Sonic, Electric damage for 1 minute per character level to all allies in the standard area of effect, centered on the caster. (You can think of this as Resist Elements, Mass) You can apply Metamagic feats to this SLA for free (Extend, Quicken). The effect does not stack with the Resist Energy spell. Cooldown: 6 seconds.

Guard Up.png
Celestial Mandate: Multiselector:
  • Celestial Mandate.png Melee Cleave (Epic Strike): +30 to hit, deals +75% Damage. Adds 3000 Hate to target and slows their movement by 50% for 8 seconds. Grants a +3 buff to Magical and Physical Resistance Ratings for 15 seconds. Double this bonus if using a shield. Stacks 6 times. Cooldown: 6 seconds. (Note: Gain a stack for each enemy struck. This ability uses Sunder's animations for both one-handed and two-handed weapons.)
  • Guard Up.png Guard Up (Epic Strike): Gain a Sacred bonus to Temporary Hit Points equal to 300% of your Melee Power for 6 seconds. This ability may be while under the effects of Crowd Control. Cooldown: 12 seconds.

Attack and Defend: +1/2/3 to hit. Rank 3: If you are using Combat Expertise, this bonus is doubled.

Mantle of the Sentinel: Unyielding Sentinel Destiny Mantle: While this mantle is active you gain +15 Positive Healing Amplification, +15% Fire, Electric, Cold, Acid, Force, Sonic Evil and Chaos damage absorption. You are also immune to Mind effects and Compulsions as per a Protection from Alignment spell.

Knights Challenge.png
Knight's Challenge: Throw a spiritual version of your Shield at a single target for 1d20 Law Damage per Character Level, scaling with 200% Melee Power. Creatures struck by the shield reset their hate and are compelled to target you for 8 seconds. Requires a shield equipped to activate. Cooldown: 20 seconds.

Shield Prowess.png
Shield Prowess: Your Shield's Armor Class contribution is increased by 15/30/50%.

Hands of the Sentinel: Gain the Lay on Hands feat. Using Lay on Hands now uses the highest of Charisma or Constitution score to determine its effect and also uses your total character level instead of paladin level. Bug: Treats your level as 10

The Rule of Law.png
The Rule of Law: Your Unyielding Sentinel Destiny Mantle now grants your Melee attacks a chance to create a weave of Lawful energy around you, dealing 1d3/4/6 Law damage per Character Level. This wave can occur once every 8 seconds. Scales with the highest of 200% Melee Power or Light Spell Power.

Legendary Shield Mastery.png
Legendary Shield Mastery: While wearing a shield, you gain +5/10/15 Physical Resistance Rating. Rank 3: You gain 6% Doublestrike.

Spark of Life.png
Spark of Life: +25 Maximum Hit Points. Any armor you wear gains Deathblock effect.

Into the Fray: When you first strike a foe with a Melee attack gain +2/4/6 Damage & +10/15/25 Physical and Magical Resistance Rating buff for 5 seconds. This effect will not reoccur until you are out of combat for at least 10 seconds.

Throw the Boom: AoE version of Knight's Challenge. Targets in a small area around the target must succeed on a Fortitude saving throw (DC: 20 + Highest Ability mod + Stun DCs) or be Stunned for 4 seconds. Shares a cooldown with Knight's Challenge.

US The Best Defense.png
The Best Defense: Blocking a melee attack now grants a +1/2/4 bonus to Attack, Damage, and Critical Damage for 12 seconds. This can only occur once every 12 seconds. Passive: Gain +20/40/60 to Max Hit Points

Strength of Vitality: Gain +3%/6%/10% Insight bonus to Maximum Hit Points. Rank 3: Double this bonus (20%) if you are using the Unyielding Sentinel Destiny Mantle.

Undying Vanguard.png
Undying Vanguard (Epic Moment): Your body becomes like a towering fortress. Completely heal yourself, then gain 10,000 Temporary Hit Points, and +5 Weapon Dice for 30 seconds. You can use this while Crowd Controlled. Cooldown: 5 minutes

Deific Resilience.png
Deific Resilience: You gain the Deific Warding feat. If you already have it, you gain +5% Quality bonus to Maximum Hit Points
