Korthos Village[edit]

As soon as you arrive on the village, she will be guarding the gate to Korthos Island, and will tell you the following:

  • Ursa Jernsvard: Who in Khyber are you? Just another Devourer Cult spy, I'll wager!
    • You: I'm no cultist. Can you let me through?
      • Ursa Jernsvard: Don't be a fool.
      • Ursa Jernsvard: You'll get ambushed and slaughtered by the Sahuagin before you get ten meters. Or worse, taken off and brainwashed. But who am I to stop fools from throwing away their lives?
      • Ursa Jernsvard: If you really want to go out there, talk to Askel. He's in charge of the gate.
    • You: Who are these cultists?
      • Ursa Jernsvard: They're evil, that's what they are!
      • Ursa Jernsvard: And I'm not about to let the Sahuagin, or the poor people they've converted, destroy the village I grew up in!
      • Ursa Jernsvard: I'm guarding this gate, and I'll gut anything trying to get past me!

After you complete the The Collaborator quest, she will approach you:

  • Ursa Jernsvard: Listen, <name>. I know you've been helping around the village - but this is serious. I've been talking to Kaja, and Im convinced Lars Heyton is alive.
  • You: I didn't find him in the Heyton Family Crypt.
  • Ursa Jernsvard: No, not at the Crypt. If you breathe a word of this to anyone, I'll disembowel you!
  • Ursa Jernsvard: Okay... here it is. I saw Lars Heyton at the old Cannith Manufactury, in the flesh! One moment he was there, and then... if Heyton's actually alive, by Dol Dorn, he can help us! Find him, <class>. Acquire his assistance, whatever it takes.
  • Ursa Jernsvard: If you head out into the wildewrness of Korthos Island, you'll see old ruins on the right side of the path. Climb to the top of the ruins, and there you'll find the passage into the Cannith Manufactury.
  • You: Okay. I'll find Lars Heyton (Bestow quest)

Talking to her after acquiring the quest, but before completion, will make her say:

  • Ursa Jernsvard: What, changed your mind about finding Heyton? A little trek into the wilderness of Korthos Island to find the Cannith Manufactury too far for you? Pathetic.
  • You: I'll find Heyton. And when I come back, I expect some gratitude.

On completion of quest, she will tell you with the following:

  • Ursa Jernsvard: Well you're taking your time finding Heyton. It's not as if all our lives are at stake.
  • You: Actually, I already spoke with Heyton. He's alive and well, and he has a plan to get rid of the dragon.
  • Ursa Jernsvard: He... he is? He does? Thank Dol Dorn! Kaja was right about him after all... and right about you.
  • Ursa Jernsvard: Well, now we have a chance. Don't hang around here - get out there and do whatever it is he told you to do!
  • Ursa Jernsvard: Don't worry about the village. I'll hold the Sahuagin here as long as I have to.
  • You: Good to hear. I'll get going then.
  • Ursa Jernsvard: One more thing. Ingram wants a word with you. He's just outside the village gate to the wilderness.

After you get your reward, if you talk to her again, she will say:

  • Ursa Jernsvard: Have you spoken to Ingram yet? He's just outside the village gate to the wilderness.

After you complete The Path to Misery's Peak, her gratitude shows up even more:

  • Ursa Jernsvard: Heyton's returned to us from the grave... you've returned him to us!
  • Ursa Jernsvard: For the first time in a very long while, I have hope.
  • Ursa Jernsvard: Thank you for that gift.

Note on her name[edit]

Ursa is the Latin word for "bear".
