Proof of concept This page is a mostly-working proof of concept.
It's currently used in: Its name is pedantic but (hopefully) unambiguous, otherwise the author gets confused by similarities with other page names. Should this become a template-namespace page, its name should be shortened to something a little more usable, like, say, "Template:M phantom for Lomihd". Or something. |
Usage[edit]
Phantom templates are not for normal use: they are employed by DPL queries to mix, remix and format parameters from its "parent" template and possibly some metadata.
- For the theory, see DPL:Manual - DPL parameters: Controlling output volume - include.
- For the practice, use the search facility on the DPL wiki to search for "phantom".
This phantom template explicitly outputs nothing readable.
Its purpose is to initialize several variables containing one template parameter each. Said variables will be used by subsequent dpl queries.
