File Naming and Image Quality

Please read DDO_wiki:Naming_policy#File_naming many of the images are missing information, cut off or using the incorrect file naming or of poor quality. Bladedge (Contributions • Message) 14:18, July 14, 2012 (EDT)

Are they replacement files or New files? If they are replacement, then there should be no issue with taking the old file, copying the missing information from the bottom and pasting it to the new updated version... If they are new files altogether you are talking about, my opinion is something is better than nothing and as long as a tag for [[Category:Needs Info-Box Pic]]<!-- Something is better than nothing but this is missing stuffs from cropping --> then I would be happy... Perhaps some links to the images so I can take a look and see if I can find better versions or make those versions work?

Some were updated, some I did a fresh file. My upload log on the day I checked this topic [[1]] is huge. In general, the new ones were uploaded with the proper item name, and the weird named are updates. The images I uploaded with missing bottom bar are:

Are using a bot / semi-bot to help you edit?

I notice that you have a few back to back edits (like 6 in less than a minute) with the same edit reason and the same byte change... Are you using a bot to make edits (maybe Auto-Wiki-Browser)? Score and Rewards

Nib, please add the number of motes that you receive for each score so I can calculate the formula for it... Seems to be Floor(Score/3) at this point, but need more than 3 data points to confirm.

Item File naming

Category: <sub-race> sub-race monsters‎

Nibelung (Contribs • Message • Email) is not setting the categories, he is only filling in the template which automatically assigns categorizations. At this time, leaving the "type monsters", "race monsters", and "sub-race monsters" is beneficial to making sure everything is in the right places. Once all of the pages are updated and created, I'll make the needed changes to the template and move the categories that need to be moved.

Spell Descriptions in Enhancements

Nibelung, I noticed I put a Spell Description into the Dwarf Enhancement page that you had taken out in the previous edit. • No rules have changed. {{Instantdelete}} should have been used with a link to the new version of the image in the edit summary (per the template usage instructions) instead of {{Delete}} which requires an explanation of why it should be deleted on the talk page and agreement to delete per !vote. Either you can go through and change all the templates to Instantdelete with the link to the new version in the edit summary, just add a comment on the talk page with a link to the new version, or I could re-promote you to admin (if you're planning on being back on a more regular basis).
