Location: Wylkes Manor, which is a separate area inside The Inspired Quarter, found north of the gate to The Harbor
Description: <Healer>
Notes: Valkin is the healer trying to cure Jeets Shimis from his eternal sleep state. He can't do much until you come to him with the news that his state is caused by a psychic attack. He then casts a spell to send you into his dream, so that you can cure him yourself.
Wylkes Manor[edit]
If you try to talk to him before finishing your investigation in the Inspiration Center, he will reply:
- Valkin Ronsa: Can't you see I'm trying to take care of my patient?
Once you finish Finding the Path, he will reply:
- Valkin Ronsa: By Khyber, I can't for the life of me figure out what's wrong with this halfling. I've tried every spell and potion I know but he's still as delirious as a dire goose!
- You: I know what's wrong. Creatures have invaded his dreams and taken his will!
- Valkin Ronsa: Creatures inside his dreams? Really? Hmmmm, that's very odd. But maybe ... yes, yes. I know what's wrong now!
- Valkin Ronsa: Now pay attention. Somebody needs to go inside Jeets's dream and get rid of the nightmare creatures that are bothering him. Since you claim to be the expert on this topic, I nominate you to do the job.
- Valkin Ronsa: Stand still for a minute and I'll cast a spell that will transport you into Jeets's dream. You can take it from there.
- You: Get me into Jeets's dream and I'll take care of those nightmare monsters!
Talking to him after acquiring the quest, but before completion, will make him say:
- Valkin Ronsa: ????????????????????
On completion of quest, he will congratulate you with the following:
- Valkin Ronsa: He'll need a lot more rest, but it looks like that halfling will pull through now. And it's all thanks to you, I suppose.
- Valkin Ronsa: You should talk to Jeets and try to calm him down. He's all worked up about some sort of menace to Stormreach or other.
- Valkin Ronsa: As if this city isn't menaced three times before breakfast every day!
After completing the quest and take the reward, if you talk to him again, he will reply:
- Valkin Ronsa: Hmmm, my patient seems to have had a bitt of a relapse.
