  • A table with all those weapons listed along their characteristics in columns would be nice... --HawkFest (ContributionsMessage) 03:01, July 1, 2014 (EDT)
  • Working on that. Unfortunately, there are a couple of major limitations and minor bugs that I'm having a hard time working around. It works, but not enough to be useful.

Now it works. What do you think? Does that look like what you had in mind?

  • Nice! We can sort, every important attribute seems to be there... At first sight it's perfect, at least very workable. Can it be sorted using 2 columns (primary and secondary - or more)? Breaking it into weapon damage types, following the categorizations shown on page], would also allow to complement their respective category pages. Anyways it's already very usable as is, great job! --HawkFest (ContributionsMessage) 05:23, July 22, 2014 (EDT)
  • Yes, you can sort on multiple columns. Click and re-click on a single column header to sort in ascending/descending order; then shift-click and shift-re-click on a second column header to sub-sort while keeping the first column order; then shift-click and shift-re-click on a third column header, and so on to your heart's content. As soon as you click (not shift-click) on a column header, you reset sorting order to that column and can start over. All sortable wikitables work like that.
As far as breaking down damage, I'm thinking about that as well, but the sensible way to do that would be tweaking the base template and then conform the single weapons' pages to the template. For now, my experiments are yielding mixed results. :-)

I've added your comment about sorting, as a guide on the main page. If you feel the way I've inserted it is not adequate or could be better, please don't hesitate to modify it. Thanks! :-) Sidenote : apart from usability and efficiency for the reader, the other advantage of such table is to remove the load of all previously required pages from the cache services (or servers): most users will have what they were looking for, by looking up the table instead of browsing. --HawkFest (ContributionsMessage) 10:17, August 15, 2014 (EDT)
