Location: House Kundarak Enclave, in the mid-eastern area, due west of the Bank ziggurat, near east end of the north bridge.
Quest[edit]
If you try to talk to him while at level 5 or lower, he will reply:
- Clipse: There's nothing you can do to help. The thing that did this will need someone more experienced to handle it.
If you are at level 6 or higher, however, he will reply:
- Clipse: Look at what that construct did! I hope Veil got away...
- You: Marek Malcanus sent me. I'm here to find Veil.
- Clipse: A gigantic golem calling itself 'The Inevitable' smashed through here a few days ago. It was trying to kill Veil!
- Clipse: I've never seen Veil run from anything before. She's the most bloodthirsty Drow I know, and if the Inevitable kills her, then I fear for the rest of us.
- Clipse: She's probably hiding with her tribe near the Blackheart Encampment. i'd go help, but I fear I'll be no use against the Inevitable. Say... you look like a powerful <class>. I don't suppose...
- You: No one should have to face something like this alone. Take me to this place. (Bestow quest)
- You: If this Veil is as tough as you say, then she'll be fine without my help. Goodbye. (Walk away)
Talking to him after acquiring the quest, but before completion, will make he say:
- Clipse: ??????????????????
On completion of quest, he will congratulate you with the following:
- Clipse: Veil sounded impressed by the way you dealt with the Inevitable. And, she wanted you to know that she's ready for Marek Malcanus' next job.
After completing the quest and taking the reward, if you talk to him again, he will reply:
- Clipse: I wonder who created the Inevitable? Hopefully, we won't see something like this again, now that you destroyed it.
- Clipse: I also spoke with Veil when she returned to Stormreach. She's readying herself for her next job with the Laughing Knives, whatever that'll be.
