If you try to talk to him while at level 2 or lower, he will reply:
- Fram Redbones: Zounds! There's so much to do and so little time. Have you spoken to the Dame?
If you are at level 3 or higher, however, he will reply:
- Fram Redbones: Well met. I am Fram Redbones, loyal paladin of the Silver Flame. Dame Calla has tasked me with ensuring the guardian in the Tomb of the Crimson Heart is taken care of, so we can proceed to the crypt.
- You: The guardian? What's down there, and what all is in this crypt?
- Fram Redbones: You've never heard the tale of the Necropolis? My, I thought everyone in Stormreach knew about the Black Abbot. Well, I don't have time to explain it right now, I need to recruit some folks to take down this mummy. If you want to know more about the Abbot, go talk to Dame Calla Swiftmare, she'll explain everything.
- You: Ok, I'll talk to her in a bit, but, I think I might be able to help with this crypt and the guardian.
- Fram Redbones: Excellent! The entrance is not far from here, but be careful, the guardian is stronger than it appears.
- You: We shall. (Bestow quest)

- You: Ok, I'll talk to her in a bit, but, I think I might be able to help with this crypt and the guardian.

Talking to him after acquiring the quest, but before completion, will make him say:
- Fram Redbones: Has the deed been done?
- You: I'm marshalling forces of my own. These things take time, you know!
On completion of quest, he will congratulate you with the following:
- Fram Redbones: Has the deed been done?
- You: Yes, Khnumhotep has been slain and the first seal has been broken.
- Fram Redbones: Excellent! Well done! we'll have The Heretical Path in our hands in no time! Speak to Raddha if you haven't already, she's in charge of the Tomb of the Sanguine Heart. Those Emerald Claw scoundrels have already claimed the other 2 tombs here, so you'll need to speak to them to get inside.
- You: Understood.
After completing the quest and taking the reward, if you talk to him again, he will reply:
- Fram Redbones: The Black Abbot is still a very real threat to Stormreach.
