Name: Haden d'Jorasco

Race: Halfling

Gender: Male

Bestows Quest(s): Disciples of Rage

Affiliation(s): House Jorasco

Location: House Jorasco Enclave, western area, in the House Jorasco Hospital area, just south of the Drowning Sorrows Tavern

Description: <House Jorasco Healer>

House Jorasco[edit]

If you talk with him before accepting the first quest, he says:

  • Haden d'Jorasco: Welcome to the House Jorasco Hospital, [Player Name]. We tend to the city's sick and injured using our Dragonmarks as well as our medicines.
Most of the cases we treat are quite ordinary. They're normally not the kind of thing to interest an adventurer like yourself.
Though we did just admit a most unusual patient, a beating victim who is somehow linked with a cult called the ‘Disciples of Rage‘. Care to help us investigate? Something very troubling is in the works.
  • You: I'll find out what's going on with the Disciples of Rage.
    • Haden d'Jorasco: Good, good! The poor fellow is over there, but I'm afraid he's going to be out if it for some time. He was beaten senseless.
We did find a clue on him though, and as soon as we found it we called in an expert on cults from the Twelve.
You should talk to Bril Norgate, and quickly. She's convinced some sort of disaster is only a few hours away!
    • You: I'll speak with Bril Norgalie. (Bestow quest)
  • You: So if the members of House Jorasco are healers, you must all be clerics, right?
    • Haden d'Jorasco: Oh my goodness, no! Not in the least.
You adventurers may rely on clerics for your healing, but the ordinary folk of Stormreach can hardly count on divine intervention every time they break a limb or catch the flu.
No, House Jorasco healers use a bit of magic - our Dragonmarks of course, plus other arcane methods plus plenty of non-magical medicine. Some willow bark tea and a good night's sleep might do as much good as a healing potion, and at a fraction of the cost.

    • You: Who are the Disciples of Rage?
      • Haden d'Jorasco: Oh, a cult, one of the Cults of the Dragon Below. Evil and all that, of course.
But that’s not really my field. Talk to someone from the Twelve if you want to know more about them.

If you talk with him again before completing the Night Falls on Stormreach quest, he says:

  • Haden d'Jorasco: Good, good! The poor fellow is over there, but I'm afraid he's going to be out if it for some time. He was beaten senseless.

  • You: I'll talk to Elsa.

If you talk with him after completing the Night Falls on Stormreach quest, he says:

  • Haden d'Jorasco: What a calamity! Riots in the streets, violence breaking out all over and all because the Harbor beacon is gone! Who would have thought that a cheery light like that was the only thing that was keeping the city from disaster?
  • You: What's next? (Quest Completed)
  • Haden d'Jorasco: We of House Joraco can't claim to be experts on curses or ancient Giant aitifacts. What we know is the body, how it works and how to treat it.
I'm happy to say that one of our healers has come up with an idea about how we can use our medical knowlege to end the riots.
Her proposal is a bit, well, unorhodox but unusual times call for unusual actions. Talk to Elsa d'Jorasco and she'll explain what she has in mind.
  • You: I'll talk to Elsa. (Bestow quest)

If you talk with again with him before completing the Quarantine quest, he says:

  • Haden d'Jorasco: We of House Joraco can't claim to be experts on curses or ancient Giant aitifacts. What we know is the body, how it works and how to treat it.

  • You: I'll talk to Elsa.

If you talk with him after completing the Quarantine quest, he says:

  • Haden d'Jorasco: So you ended the riot in Dannel's Pride? Good, good.
Unfortunately, Elsa's treatment is nothing like a permanent solution. We can't keep the entire city drugged and unconscious!
  • You: What's next? (Quest Completed)
  • Haden d'Jorasco: We need to find a better way to treat the madness caused by the curse. That means we need to reach out to every local healer we can and find out what they know. I'm told you can help with that.
Talk to Dabny d'Jorasco. He wants you to seek out the help of an old friend.
  • You: What old friend, I wonder? I'll go ask Dabny. (Bestow quest)

If you talk with him after completing The Madness of Crowds quest, he says:

  • Haden d'Jorasco: I managed to get that star-struck Dabny to tell me what you've learned. Scorrow venom treats the madness, eh?
That explains the reports we've had that people who have been exposed to scorpions are resistant to the madness. Still, that won't help unless we can find a virtually limitless supply of the stuff.
  • You: What's next? (Quest Completed)
  • Haden d'Jorasco: The Twelve have been pestering me for some of your time, [Player Name]. It seems they want your help with that ‘Disciples of Rage‘ cult.
Urqhart Steadfast will tell you what he needs done.
  • You: I'll talk to Urqhait about the Disciples of Rage. (Bestow quest)

If you talk with him after completing The Age of Rage quest, he says:

  • Haden d'Jorasco: So you've sorted the Disiples of Rage? Good, good. A nasty lot they were!

We've been busy here looking for a treatment. You'll recall the sticking point was that to treat the whole city, we would need a virtually limitless supply of Scorrow venom.

  • You: What's next? (Quest Completed)
  • Haden d'Jorasco: Here's the remarkable thing, [Player Name]. Thanks to a Drow trader, we may have found a virtually limitless supply of Scorrow venom! Find D'naria L'roshal and have her tell you her story. It's like something out of a fairy-tale!
  • You: I'll speak with the Drow trader about the Scorrow venom. (Bestow quest)

If you talk with him after completing the Toxic Treatment quest, he says:

  • Haden d'Jorasco: You've done it, [Player Name]! With Vulkoor‘s gift we can treat anyone who comes down with the madness, and our supply will never run out.
Though, er, of course we'll have to remain on good terms with that Drow tribe, and hope our patients don't build up an immunity.
It would be so much easier if we could just get the Harbor beacon back!
  • You: The beacon was shipped to Sharn. I imagine the Coinlords will start an investigation. (Quest Completed)
  • Haden d'Jorasco: Ancient curses, Giant artifacts, and Drow prophecies, it‘s all quite astonishing to me! Though I imagine it's the sort of thing you deal with every day.
Here, have a little reminder of your time with the House Jorasco healers. Thank you for all your help! (Quest Arc Completed)
