Name: Linus Weir

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Bestows Quest(s): The Storehouse's Secret

Affiliation(s): Coin Lords

Location: Korthos Village, Linus is sitting on the stairs, while looking for someone to take a scroll from a guarded storehouse for him.

Korthos Village[edit]

As soon as you arrive on the village, he will approach you:

  • Linus Weir: You're a dangerous <class>, if I've ever seen one.
  • Linus Weir: But I reckon you got a heart too. Up for helping us poor Korthos folk?
    • You: Depends. What kind of help do you need?
      • Linus Weir: See that house yonder north? That's our storehouse. And in the back room, old Lars Heyton put his scrolls. Now, the good folks of Korthos need that scroll, so someone's gotta go in and get it.
      • Linus Weir: I'd do it myself, but the Storehouse's got a wee infestation. Rodents and spiders, is all. But here's the kick, old Heyton put a shield to keep scaly Sahuagin hands off his scrolls. Only he ain't around no more to turn it off. But I'm sure you're bright 'nuff to do it.
      • Linus Weir: The Village Storehouse is just next to the town tavern. What do you say?
        • You: All right. I'll bring the scroll back to you. (Bestow quest)
        • You: What's so important about this scroll?
          • Linus Weir: Heyton once wrote this one scroll that's all about Dragons.
          • Linus Weir: Aye, that's right, I said "Dragons". What with that White Dragon making all this ice, and otherwise being a mortal danger... well, that scroll ought to come in handy. You follow?
            • You: All right. I'll bring the scroll back to you. (Bestow quest)
    • You: Yes, I have been called a champion in my time. Naturally, I must lend my strength to the unfortunate. (same answer as above)
    • You: You presume much, peasant. Your petty troubles don't concern me. (Walk away)
      • Linus Weir: Ohh, doomed! No one will help! We're all doomed!

Talking to him after acquiring the quest, but before completion, will make he say:

  • Linus Weir: Hoy, <class>. You don't have the scroll yet, I see.
  • Linus Weir: That dragon scroll is in a locked room. And that locked room is in the Village Storehouse. And that storehouse is just on the north side of the Village Square.

On completion of quest, he will tell you with the following:

  • Linus Weir: Oh, you got the scroll! Let's see what it says... Hmm, what's this then? There are no pictures!
  • Linus Weir: Well, never mind. I'll get it to someone who knows how to read.
  • Linus Weir: Don't worry, I ain't gonna forget you. Here, take this for your trouble.
  • You: Thank you, Linus.

After you get your reward, if you talk to him again, he will say:

  • Linus Weir: With your help, I reckon Korthos will finally be able to defeat the devourer cult and their pet Dragon.
  • You: I hope the scroll I found can really help against that Dragon.
  • Linus Weir: Sigmund Bauerson will find a way to use the dragon scroll you found. He's off in the Wavecrest Tavern if you want to chat with him.
  • Linus Weir: In the meanwhile, what can old Linus do for you, great <class>?
  • You: Tell me more about this Dragon that's been attacking Korthos.
  • Linus Weir: Heyton once wrote this one scroll that's all about Dragons.
  • Linus Weir: Aye, that's right, I said "Dragons". What with that White Dragon making all this ice, and otherwise being a mortal danger... well, that scroll ought to come in handy. You follow?
