Mechanical traps are first seen in level six quests. There is no energy resistance available for mechanical type traps. A high reflex save will reduce, or avoid with feat: evasion, mechanical trap damage. "Mechanical traps" refer to any trap not classified as an energy, poison, unholy, or force trap. These include:
