Vaults of the Artificers' "Epic" challenges reward Epic-level items, but no Epic tokens.

The line above contradicts the line below

"Any of 300 epic version ingredient - Epic Dungeon Token" found at the very bottom of the https://ddowiki.com/page/Vaults_of_the_Artificers_loot page.

I haven't gotten around to epic challenges yet to see which is correct but a quick glance at the forums seems to suggest that you can indeed trade in epic ingredients for epic tokens and epic token fragments. Would appreciate confirmation. - E.L.K.

Let me clarify.. There are no Chests in Epic challenges, and therefore, epic tokens do not drop inside of the challenges. You can however convert your epic ingredients in for tokens in the UI barter box / vendor. -- ShoeMaker (ContributionsMessage) 12:40, March 30, 2012 (EDT)
Added note about converting to the page. -LrdSlvrhnd 22:52, March 30, 2012 (EDT)

Total Experience[edit]

Just added Dragonblood Prophecy, and came time to enter "Total Experience" - but from other entries, I could not reverse-engineer a consistent pattern. Some are the total of all quests on Normal, but others... you tell me! If a pack has quests on both (normal) Heroic and Epic, those are simply additive, right? So for Devil Assault - should it just Normal (@ Lvl 6) + Epic for DA, plus Normal + Epic for Chronoscope raid? (which would be a LOT more than the "6,140" listed atm!) Other totals ~appear~ equally obscure/unique in their math (altho' I may be missing something, easily). Def need a <--comment--> line at top standardizing "How to" to future editors, and a visible line paraphrasing that formula for readers wouldn't hurt. (Edit - Looks like previous editor who added Eveningstar Challenge Pack hit the same stumbling block. We both put "1" for total xp, so as not to break table.C-Hound (ContribsMessage)

  • To be honest, I'm not convinced it's a useful metric anymore. With all the variations in play mode between solo and reaper and epic or legendary, then there are quest bonuses and boosts and rerunability. Is there such a thing as "total favor? Question then becomes how should we go about removing the wildly inaccurate and inconsistent values already there? I have been working on a new template/test to try and use DPL to get totals for favor by patron. Once I get that figured out, I should be able to make a template up for quests by adpack and sort it out without XP values or at least make them consistent somehow. Hmmm - it's a useful metric (esp for F2P/Premium!), but, like you, I'm not convinced it's a practical one to quantify. Optionals alone - how easy are they to grab in a given quest? Some are practically mandatory, and others are just a click as you run by. And for some others, just the reverse. <shrugs> It's a nice thought, but... yeah.C-Hound (ContribsMessage) 02:28, June 10, 2017 (EDT)
