New Augments coming soon[edit]

Diamond of Vitality[edit]

Vitality will replace Toughness on items. Not clear if this will be a Retconned change, or if it will create legacy items. Minos Legens (Lamannia).PNG

This DDO Forums suggests that Toughness may be retconned to 'Vitality in existing items.

Category Templates[edit]

Would it be possible to create pages - one for each slot colour - that automatically lists all items with that colour slot? I have no idea how to do this, but it seems like it would be a useful list to have. Snake (ContributionsMessage)

You mean like what {{ Augment | (color) }} does:

Not really, that template lists the augments that go into a slot in a pop-up and links to the Augment Slot page when clicked.

I was thinking that the Augment Slot page could have a link in the 'See Also' section at the bottom that links to Category:Items with Augmentation Slots and that category would be broken down to sub-cat pages for each Slot colour. Each sub-cat page would simply list all items with that colour slot. I found the page Category:Items_with_an_epic_augment_slot which is sort of what I was thinking but this is for Epic slots, and the Categories are all empty.
I know you guys are working on the Cat structure atm and I didn't want to jump in blind on this. Snake (ContributionsMessage) 12:10, March 22, 2013 (EDT)

I think I see how it works now. Item pages have a list of Categories at the bottom which include that item. But this Category list is not an editable part of the page so it must be in one of the templates somewhere. For a page such as Category:Items with Blue a Augment Slot to list such items, that Category needs to be added to the item page. So for this to work would need a modification of one of the templates used on Item pages.

Is that right? Snake (ContributionsMessage) 12:42, March 22, 2013 (EDT)

Snake, Your understanding is correct. Just to clarify though, on an item page (Item: namespace), the categories that the item is a member of are generally transcluded (injected) via the templates used on the item page. At this moment, not all item property templates have been updated to inject an appropriate category (see : Item description templates ). I've been updating some templates here and there, but my attention has been focused on creating a policy for the item category layout. After that is squared away, finishing up the item property templates is next project on my list.

Pre-filled Slots[edit]

I believe some items with empty slots have a chance to appear filled with a random augment. Right now, I pulled a Lesser Boots of Striding and Springing with a Charisma +2 augment. Anyone else already pulled a named item that SHOULD be empty and was filled, or a random loot item pre-filled? Nibelung (ContributionsMessage) 20:58, April 20, 2013 (EDT)

Gemstone denomination[edit]

The flavor text of the new soulforged augments refer to them as citrine, amethyst, and emerald, for the orange, purple, or green augment colors. However, this doesn't mean that all orange augments are citrine, all purple augments are amethysts, or all green augments are emeralds, like not all colorless augments are called diamonds (like the The Master's Gift and Globe of Imperial Blood, neither all blue augments are called sapphires (like Golem's Heart). This is the reason why the edits to the first table header (which added these gemstone denominations) were undone. That table is supposed to be a general reference for the slotting system using the game's standard augment denomination (just the colors). MrLizard (ContribsMessage) 09:53, December 6, 2020 (EST)
