Talk:Base Attack Bonus

I came here from Paladin, though I expect my problem to be present for all classes. I sought one thing: How to interprete the four groups of numbers on the class' stat/level table. Unless I'm utterly blind, I don't believe that's on this page. Could such a change please be made? - 58.96.88.83 05:46, June 24, 2012 (EDT)

Erm, nevermind that. Found it when I started reading the attack sequence page. Still confusing, though if I'm the only one I guess it's no issue. (Also, I can't figure out how to make this a reply. Apologies if this is a problem.) - 58.96.88.83 05:54, June 24, 2012 (EDT)

Math[edit]

I don't know if anyone even bothers to read this stuff, but the BAB calculation examples shown here make no sense. If it worked that way then anyone without levels in Barbarian, Fighter, Paladin, or Ranger would have 0 BAB until epic levels. Pretty sure you're supposed to round down the total, not the individual increases. — previous unsignedPlease sign posts using ~~~~ comment by 76.73.174.72 ( c |d| r| b) at 12:45, July 8, 2023 (UTC)

I think the idea is that BAB is rounded down for each class, not for each level. I.e. a bard 2 / cleric 2 has BAB = 2. One from bard levels (0.75 + 0.75; rounded down to one) and one from cleric levels. Feel free to update the page if you can explain it more clearly. Cru121 (ContribsMessage) 08:45, July 8, 2023 (EDT)
