BAB progression[edit]

The attack progression on this page looks pretty odd, but is apparently how DDO does it. The +5/+5/+10 bit will be surprising to a lot of players, and may deserve special notice. 24.62

Hmm indeed, it really looks weird. That makes really a huge difference between L4 and L5. Now I guess the other tables need being fixed too (I had never checked them). I have a level 7 fighter, and have verified that it's still there. This isn't new, and has been known since beta. It is the "stand and fight" bonus, which gives melee players an incentive to use all 3 of their attacks, instead of moving or blocking after just 2 swings. (However, I do not have a level 10 fighter, so the lev10 entry is hearsay) . And yes, all the BAB tables work like this, not only Fighters. Note further that the bonus attack from IWTF uses the higher, final bonus.24.62

Supposed to be ITWF, for Improved Two Weapon Fighting, which is what TWF characters need to take advantage of the level 5 extra attack with the offhand as well. Re the other classes, I believe they're all the same... ie, whenever any class has a BAB equal to the first number on the fighter table, they also get the rest of the attacks identically. Re the major jump between level 4 and 5: it is not nearly as big as the jump a rogue/cleric experiences hitting level 2, when he goes from +0 to +1/+1. That's more than twice the melee damage. Further notes: the first two attacks are slashes, the 3rd is a stab (one hand), twirl (two weap), or upward-swing (two-hand).24.62
Ok, so just to make sure, you were saying that the third attack given by ITWF was given the third BAB in the fighter table, right? (which seems logical to me). Thanks for the additional answers, I have updated the BAB tables for other classes accordingly. Tihocan 10:27, April 3, 2006 (EDT)

New Fighter-only feats should probably be listed[edit]

Tactical Training: Requires fighter class level 4. +2 bonus to Tactics DC's - Tactical Supremacy: Requires fighter class level 16. +8 bonus to Tactics DC's. Heavy Armor Training: Requires fighter class level 2. While in heavy armor, get +3 PRR and MRR - Heavy Armor Champion: Requires fighter class level 14.     • I've updated Fighter#Fighter_bonus_feats to include new feats. What remains to be done is to add the new feats to the Category:Fighter_bonus_feats (probably).
