Talk:Healing spells

I've gotta say, I wish I could have an interactive table here, it would look alot nicer. But thats all I get, I suppose. These values were generated using the formula found on the Information Project page (ie, for Cure Light Wounds: MEAN( 1d6 ) + 2 + MIN( CASTER_LEVEL, 5 ) ). Is there a way to specify a specific width for a coloumn? I'd like to seperate the spells without losing the nice cell spacing, but all I know about this Wiki stuff is what I've managed to glean from other pages. - 64.180.249.248 07:43, October 23, 2006 (EDT)

Ok... first of all, congrats, you've been making some pretty crazy changes lately, good job - care to register an account? And yes there's lots of ways to specifically set the way the table is laid out, I'm quite busy RIGHT NOW however. And dynamic tables... not sure what you mean, but that isn't happening now or any time soon really. The WikiWork is a stagnant project for me - I'm not launching any other wikis, and only DDO Wiki was stable enough to take care of itself without me when I quit maintaining the ones I had launched (see the list of failu- eh, links to other wikis at the bottom of any page). The only reason the site's still open is I really like the design and I put a lot of work into it. Thus, programmatically-advanced new features such as making a table live sortable (which would require quite a bit of javascript and ajax work) aren't likely any time soon in a PHP framework - if I ever get around to porting MediaWiki to rails like I intended to, I'll switch the WikiWork to that port then be glad to add new features like hellz bellz. Till then you're out of luck. Again, as to your contributions - thanks! And I'll pop by and refactor the page's design, see what I can do to make it more accessible. Understandable. I wasn't really expecting it to be do-able, I don't even think theres a convenient way to do it in HTML. On the other topic, I was under the impression that the DDO Wiki was still active - I've certainly gotten alot of use out of it. If you don't think the site is getting the usage it should, you might want to consider advertising some of the better-developed pages on the DDO Forums to attact some new blood, and some new contributers. If this site is a dying project, rather, let me know so I can expend my energy elsewhere. - 64.180.249.248 08:11, October 23, 2006 (EDT)
No, DDOWiki is nowhere near dying. He was talking about Wikis dedicated to other games, which apparently never took off (from what I gather). I got to say I have a hard time just trying to work on a single Wiki, so managing a bunch of them seems like a Herculean task to me... Tihocan 14:19, October 23, 2006 (EDT)

page still needed?[edit]

These charts have not been updated in a few patches, and I'm not sure we want to. And is1d6+2 right or are healing spells 1d4+4?--Cyanpill 17:16, November 28, 2009 (EST)

some kind of "healing per mana cost" chart would be a nice addition to the wiki, for sure. agree that this entry is quite obsolete and useless as is. added {{update}} tag. --yoko5000 00:07, November 29, 2009 (EST)

WRONG healing math[edit]

Improved Devotion II (30%) and Greater Devotion III (40%) do NOT stack to make a 70% increase for level 2 spells, nor is the example on the page correct.

Improved Devotion II (30%) will give a base 30% increase to level 2 spells.

Greater Devotion III (40%) will give a base 40% increase to level 2 & 3 spells.

Two items, one with each, both worn at the same time, will still give the same base 40% increase to level 2 spells. That's it. No stacking here. I tested it personally by doing 20 heals, and taking the average, with 2 items and just 1 item, with 2 different sets of items, and the same results every time. So this page is wrong.

Otherwise you'd see clerics with a devotion item in every slot.

I believe the second one (Greater Devotion III) was referring to a Cleric enhancement, though the only analogue I could find was Cleric Life Magic IV (+40% to all Heal spells) - which *would* stack with a Devotion item. It's possible they've changed the Enhancement line since this was written. (EDIT: Rewritten to change it to Life Magic IV)- LrdSlvrhnd 22:51, February 14, 2011 (EST)

Colors[edit]

Please add # to all of your HEX defined colors.. The classes section would be nicer if it was class="sortable". Other than that, great work. Big Grin ShoeMaker (ContributionsMessage) 11:49, April 6, 2012 (EDT)

Need Druid healing spells[edit]

This page is old, and has no information about new druid spells, such as Vigor, Lesser Vigor, and Regeneration. Can someone please add these? I lack knowledge on how to add new icons and whatnot to the tables. --Byeshklord (ContributionsMessage) 19:26, June 22, 2014 (EDT)

  • Thanks for the heads up. The relevant templates have been updated. Adding spells now. Done. Let me know if I missed any. — Zav(C·T·E) 20:38, June 22, 2014 (EDT)
