I'm trying to hunt up Greater and Superior Efficacy potions, if they are sold by a vendor. --Niminae (ContribsMessage) 01:14, October 9, 2017 (EDT)

  • They might be gated by Jorasco favor and possibly your class, read DDO Forums. --Cru121 (ContribsMessage) 04:06, October 9, 2017 (EDT)
    • Ugh. That means that many of the edits I've made to the vendors might be invalid, just because I made the edits based on the things I could see for sale... Thanks for the link though, I'll see if I can kick loose some additional potions when I improve my House K faction. I'm not sure I want to bother with House J. --Niminae (ContribsMessage) 23:52, October 10, 2017 (EDT)
      • Being favor gated doesn't make the edits invalid, they just need to be embellished with some kind of indication that they are favor gated. I should work up some padlock icons for each house so that we can indicate such things quickly and graphically. DDOstream (ContribsMessage) 08:10, October 17, 2017 (EDT)

At "Commended" (the highest achievable rank) Cullian Barrows in House Phiarlan's Object Desire shows me Greater Efficacy potions. No Superior Efficacy potions.

At "Commended" (the highest achievable rank) Basillca Tardin in House Jorasco's House of Wizardry shows me both Greater and Superior Efficacy potions. And also appears to have the full line of Greater spellpower type potions. The Superior line is missing Brilliance and Cacophony.

At "Commended" (the highest achievable rank) Ouolish Wren in House Jorasco's Feather's Fall Apothecary shows no Efficacy potions at all.

At "Commended" (the highest achievable rank) Horus Balinour in House Kundarak's Liquid Charm shows me both Greater and Superior Efficacy potions. And also appears to have the full line of Greater spellpower type potions. The Superior line is missing Brilliance and Cacophony.

Bug?[edit]

Bug says Spellpower Potions from different vendors don't stack. Why should they stack? The bug needs to be more descriptive... Faltout (ContribsMessage) 15:03, March 25, 2018 (EDT)

  • I assume the bug talks about potions stacking in your inventory. I have updated the article accordingly.-- Cru121 (ContribsMessage) 16:46, March 25, 2018 (EDT)
    • I tested potion of Greater Brilliance (saw that from the page edit history) from 3 different vendors: House J, House P, House K. Purchased 3 potions of Greater Brilliance and Greater Erosion and they all stacked to 9. Perhaps some vendors sell bound to character potions that do not stack with unbound? Please provide an example of the bug: Which potions do not stack specifically? Faltout (ContribsMessage) 17:05, March 25, 2018 (EDT)
    • That is my Bug note, Faltout. My apologies for not wording it clearly enough. I have several times in the past purchased spellpower potions of the same name from different vendors only to be stuck with two stacks which would not combine under any attempts do do so. Moving one to the bank and back, dragging each on to the other, etc. Nothing would allow them to stack with each other. So I'd have, for example, a stack of 47 Greater Brilliance potions and a second stack of 53 Greater Brilliance potions which I had purchased just to get back to a single 100 stack. I finally settled on only buying the spellpower potions from a single vendor, and haven't had that issue since. I did bug report it, so if it is no longer happening then perhaps it was fixed. Who could know, since the release notes SSG provides are never even close to being complete? -- Niminae (ContribsMessage) 17:22, March 29, 2018 (EDT)
      • Alright then. Removing the bug till someone else finds some potions that should stack in the inventory but do not (bound and unbound should not stack). Faltout (ContribsMessage) 18:47, March 29, 2018 (EDT)
        • I just had it happen again. I had 24 Potions of Greater Brilliance and bought 76 to top off my stack to 100. They would not stack. I had to buy 24 more to get the 100 stack, and parked the original 24 on a bank mule. So I can definitely confirm that the bug still exists. I just can't be certain of the cause. It might be trying to stack potions from different vendors as I originally believed, because I have no idea which vendors I bought these two stacks from, but I have ERed a few times before needing to refresh this stack of pots so that might be a part of the issue. -- Niminae (ContribsMessage) 15:40, June 16, 2018 (EDT)
          • But I had confirmed that bound potions stack together and unbound stack together. Bound and unbound do not stack. Can you post a screenshot with the 2 stacks that will not combine to verify that both are bound or unbound? Faltout (ContribsMessage) 07:59, June 17, 2018 (EDT)

Linking Potion NPCs for potions lists.[edit]

Hey all, I am meandering around to the potion dealers to make sure they all link back to this page for the list of potions. Will update potion NPC's as I get to them, or add them as NPCs. meander (ContribsMessage) 12:18, July 4, 2018 (EDT)

Hidden trigger to unlock Greater/Superior Spell Power potions?[edit]

I read the threads written both here and on the forums and have not come to a sound conclusion on how to get the spell power pots. I have reached "Commended" on House J, K, and P favor. I have run Thrall of the Necromancer. I've tried relogging to "update" the vendors. I've gone to every conceivable vendor that might have the pots. I know the House K vendor definitely has them because on my first life I picked up a stack of Superior Inferno pots and that was after I had reached 5000 total favor. Now, on my second life, I'm over 3000 total favor with many of the patrons in their final reward tier and still am unable to purchase them. Does anyone know what this hidden trigger could be? - 72.39.76.6 (Message • Block • Check) 16:24, September 20, 2019 (EDT)

  • With regards to the House House Kundarak Potion Vendor list within the Liquid Charm, displaying "Superior" Potion versions, it's looking like it's tied to completing Cult of the Six (see: Reputation Quests). I had a spare Iconic Character on just over 150 House Kundarak Favour (152) and "Superior" potions weren't available. So today I did a quick test... It wasn't until I claimed my 'Final reward' for the full Co6 chain, i.e. all 10 quests that the dialogue for the House K Potion vendor changed and finally displayed the Superior potions, etc. That would make sense as several vendors' lists change after attaining the relevant reputation. There might also be other Favour methods that will unlock that list for that Vendor - it wasn't a Favour unlock but results of a "Reputation reward" in this case.
