Talk:Ranged Power

Formula[edit]

I'm confused about this formula: "This rating increases ranged attacks by the following formula: (100+Rating)/100. Example, A character with 20 ranged power that does 100 damage with a weapon will do a total of 112 damage."

This is suggesting that ranged power is a fixed damage bonus, rather than a multiplier. Is that correct? I don't believe that's correct. I think it should be Damage*(100+Rating)/100. So that a character with 20 ranged power who hits for 100 will do 120 damage total. 68.235.53.175 (Message • Block • Check) 16:16, January 28, 2017 (EST)

Ranged Power is a multiplier. The wording is based on the U23 release notes. You can reword it on this page to make it clear. — Zav(T·C) 17:31, January 28, 2017 (EST)
There was an anonymous edit recently that changed the example from 120 to 112, I don't know why. My understanding is that we'd get 120 damage but I am too lazy to test. --Cru121 (ContribsMessage) 17:36, January 28, 2017 (EST)
I'll test it here shortly on my ranger and update pages accordingly Abolisher (ContribsMessage) 00:54, January 29, 2017 (EST)
