speculation[edit]

I am not sure the Speculation Page is the proper page as it has already been official announced that Raven Loft is Coming. — previous unsignedIcon tooltip.pngPlease sign posts using ~~~~ comment by The goldy gopher ( c |d| r| b) at 15:38, September 13, 2016 (UTC)

  • ravenloft is not a speculation. ravenloft is a campaign settings. why is this called speculation again? why is it pointing a non-existing article on english wikipedia? --Cru121 (ContribsMessage) 11:38, September 13, 2016 (EDT)
    • I've moved it. It has been announced, and {{Speculation}} is sufficient. — Zav(T·C) 11:57, September 13, 2016 (EDT)

Comments[edit]

AD&D is not 2E D&D, that was the red box set (blue, green, black, gold) released in 1981. There are two revisions of that product line. AD&D was a separate product line released at the time to stop licensing payments to Dave Arneson. There was two editions of AD&D, the first edition was released in 1977 to 1979, the second edition 1989. When I3 was released it was for AD&D, The Realm of Terror (the Box Set) was for 2nd Edition AD&D.

Thanks and suggestion on content[edit]

Hello all,

Just wanted to let you know, my wife and I are avid AD&D players. I have been playing since I was 9 yrs old (am nearing 48 now). I love what direction you guys are going with this especially once I heard about the Ravenloft release. It is my wife's fav dungeon to go through as I do an awesome impression of Strahd. I know this isn't to be released until around Hallow's Eve of 2017 or so. My wife and I decided to become VIPs for the duration of this game because we love it so much. The direction this new team is taking DDO is, in my opinion, the best thing for the game. Your team is showing love of the game and that is something my wife and I can appreciate. She and I speculated on the game for a bit before becoming VIPs and we decided that sure, the graphics aren't the best, but the depth of the game, the very long shelf life of it, and the fact that the Standing Stone actually shows love of the game trumps every other game we have played. So, in lieu of this new developing team taking over and taking this game to new heights, you have earned life-time subscribers in my wife and I. Soon to be our newborn son added to the list. ;) Keep up the outstanding work!

p.s. my wife wants to know where to send our next batch of cookies....so you can enjoy them. She wants to make you all cookies just because of the Ravenloft thing. :)

p.p.s also was wondering who you all are getting to be the voice of Strahd....my wife thinks that you should get me to do it...but I have a better suggestion....the one and only Gary Oldman...his Dracula voice was spot on. — previous unsignedPlease sign posts using ~~~~ comment by Faddisaction ( c |d| r| b) at 10:13, February 3, 2017 (UTC)

  • This is the independent wiki for the game. This comment would more likely be seen by the development team on the official DDO Forums. I'll let Cordovan know about this post, I'm sure he'll appreciate the positive note (if he has time to actually read it). ShoeMaker (Contribs • Message) 10:20, February 3, 2017 (EST)

That's great! I don't know who will be doing Strahd either.
