Templates[edit]

Deprecated[edit]

Complete[edit]

  • Template:Roman2Dec2 - counting from 1 to 20 is hard 13, 14 ,14 ,16, I don't know this 15 you speak of :)
  • Template:Spelllore - rewritten for U19
  • Template:Deathblock - now supports roman numerals
  • Template:Parrying - now supports roman numerals; or has this been changed to riposte? also, particularly ugly code :)
  • Template:Speed - new
  • Template:Dmg - added Accuracy, Deadly, Alignment, Deception, Impact/Keen, Dazing/Stumbling/Sundering, Riposte, Doublestrike/Doubleshot, ghostbane, solar, eldritch, improved vorpal/smiting/, Elemental Damage, a few missing damage enchantments from older items.
  • Template:Axeblock - rewritten for U19
  • Template:Spearblock - rewritten for U19
  • Template:Guard - updated
  • Template:Hp - Elemental Energy, Improved Elemental Energy, Greater Elemental Energy, Hit Points, Pirate Vitality, Vitality
  • Template:False Life - Remain unchanged do not use for Hit Points
  • Template:Skills - U19 Descriptions, Added <Ability> Skills - Exceptional Bonus +X (found on Greensteel, Ioun Stones, U19 Items, etc)
  • Template:Fortification - U19 % vales from 5 - infinity ,titles and descriptions. Converted light, moderate, heavy to U19 % base while keeping old descriptions.light, mod and hvy categories converted to % base to match the text while exceptional and construct remain unchanged. 0-4 reserved for pre-U19 descriptions.
    • I have updated this template to include the new u19 fortification values (20/40/60/80/100/105/110/115/120/125). There's is no overlap between the old syntax and the new syntax, so we don't need bot I guess. I think it works correctly as it is now.--Cru121 (ContributionsMessage) 03:41, September 25, 2013 (EDT)
      • Revised and updated Bladedge (ContributionsMessage) 13:55, September 25, 2013 (EDT)
        • Care to post a screen shot of the values you claim that exist?--Cru121 (ContributionsMessage) 15:22, September 25, 2013 (EDT)
          • Never claim that they exist, left the template open ended so when or if the devs decided to have another field day with items/augments or a value is left out, one doesn't have to go back and update it again and again. Bladedge (ContributionsMessage) 13:58, September 30, 2013 (EDT)
  • Template:Spellfocus now supports Spellfocus|2|Spell for universal focus (former spell mastery)

When needed[edit]

  • Template:Hammerblock - Probably merge Axe, Spear, Hammer into one template, Thinking about it so far probably not.

Template:ClassTOC[edit]

This template links to the historic enhancement pages, cf. the talk page Template_talk:ClassTOC for more infos and suggestions. Krlkch (ContributionsMessage) 06:24, September 8, 2013 (EDT)

Discussion[edit]

Cordovan stated here that its going Open Beta very soon. lets get prepped for it.

yoko5000 (ContributionsMessage) 02:53, August 6, 2013 (EDT)

I am not on beta but I've lurked on the Vault (plus an occasional slip on the official forum), I have some NDA-bound stuff prepared. Before that, I have drafted a new version of Template:EnhancementsTOC on my talk page. I like the "using abbreviated stuff" variant more. The color coding should probably be updated somewhat. Whaddya think? Is it even better than the current TOC? Not sure. Columns are 1:free race; 2:paid race, 3:iconic races (these are effectively races as they come with racial enhancements), 4:paid classes, 5+6:free classes
--Cru121 (ContributionsMessage) 03:26, August 6, 2013 (EDT)

popup thingy doesnt work on my chrome.

yoko5000 (ContributionsMessage) 10:34, August 6, 2013 (EDT)
yeah it ain't populated, except Paladin I think. I was lazy.
--Cru121 (ContributionsMessage) 10:44, August 6, 2013 (EDT)
I don't think that popups are really needed in this context. The abbreviated version is much more elegant and accessible. I think that the new version fits better to the trees. The old version would work, too. Krlkch (ContributionsMessage) 07:17, August 9, 2013 (EDT)

Template Dmg2[edit]

Started a Template: Dmg2 with the updated effects. Figured start new then, break something down and then have it "break" everything that uses it. Probably will throw keen into there as well. The item page is to busy with old/new, partial descriptions, xdy, in New/changed random enhancement, so this might take some time.

Bladedge (ContributionsMessage) 15:29, August 20, 2013 (EDT)
Looks like any page with heavy use of a template witch contains T:Roman2Dec will reach the limit ExtLoops count: 250/250 and cause errors. Most likely this would effect long item list pages, more then individual items or small list pages. Can forgo using roman numerals and use standard numbers. Instead of displaying Flame IV it would be Flame 4, or enter roman for display and again for the code ex {{dmg2|keen|IV|5}}.

So far already (re)done or imported in T:Dmg2: Flame, Frost, Shock, Solar, Eldritch, Riposte, GhostBane, Accuracy, Deadly, Impact, Keen, Anarchic, Axiomatic, Holy, Bloodletter, Heartseeker, Ribcracker, Sundering, Dazing, Stumbling.

Main question keep roman numerals or switch to standard numbers?

Bladedge (ContributionsMessage) 20:49, August 21, 2013 (EDT)
It should be possible to create a simple variant of template:Roman2Dec that would simply be a switch, accept values i to xx and assign them to 1 to 20. Would this solve the loop problem?

Also, I am surprised about some of the choices that you have added in, particularly Accuracy. But I guess why not.

--Cru121 (ContributionsMessage) 04:32, August 22, 2013 (EDT)
Your suggestion works so far. Why I didn't think of it. template:Roman2Dec2 uses a switch and currently caps out at xx (20), but can be easy increase in the future.

Figured if it did damage to something might as well add it (was also going down the U19 item list). For accuracy can't damage your enemy, if you cant hit them, and one less template in the mix. Bladedge (ContributionsMessage) 17:32, August 22, 2013 (EDT)

Was able to do a test run of merging T:Dmg and T:Dmg2. It was a success. The following templates will be deprecated and replace when T:dmg2 is merge with Template:Dmg update:
  • Template:Accuracy
  • Template:Deadly
  • Template:Deception
  • Template:Impact
  • Template:Keen

The Categories have been reworked in the template instead of "Damage effect items/Untyped/Vorpal" it will now be "Vorpal items" from there work up the Category tree. There are probably many other item effects that should be this template:dmg or another one. → Bladedge (ContributionsMessage) 20:12, August 23, 2013 (EDT)

Thinking, maybe merge Template:Vitality and Hit Points (the new False Life) name it T:hp. And revert the Current False Life to what it was before U19 since it wont be used in newer items. Also frees up 5,10,20,30,40 without any conflicts.
Bladedge (ContributionsMessage) 01:15, August 25, 2013 (EDT)
What is the benefit of merging? I don't see it. But if you go ahead, consider adding also {{hp|greaterelementalenergy}}
--Cru121 (ContributionsMessage) 02:07, August 25, 2013 (EDT)
Updated Template:Dmg. Use my talk page if I broke something. May not be Cap friendly for a few things. Breaking of the Categories was intentional see above post. Bladedge (ContributionsMessage) 02:32, August 25, 2013 (EDT)

Cursed[edit]

Hi, I've created a simple template for CurseIcon tooltip.pngCurse: Passive -1 Penalty to an ability. (The minimum level required to equip this item is lower than normal due to this curse.) items (EDIT: link to the template - Template:Cursed, I thought it'd be better if the enhancement and tooltip links link to the prefix page), because I've noticed that it's not only on lootgen items, but also on any named items that have ability penalties (Amulet of the Brute being a prime example, gonna update the image and enhancements in a sec)). It's my first update, so there might be a bug or two, but it looks okay and functional to me and it's easily updatable if need be for higher penalties, if there are/will be any (I might do it in a few minutes, if I don't get distracted by my characters that've been standing at Heyton's Rest for about two hours now Big Grin.

Gorocz (ContributionsMessage) 06:03, August 30, 2013 (EDT)
I've edited the aforementioned Amulet, I'm not gonna edit any other items yet, in case you don't like it. If you approve of this, I can edit other items in the -1 Ability categories too.
Gorocz (ContributionsMessage) 06:24, August 30, 2013 (EDT)
I approve.
--Cru121 (ContributionsMessage) 08:10, August 30, 2013 (EDT)
Ok, I'm gonna do it. By the way thanks for adding the category. When you added it, I was just trying to figure out how to add a category to a template without non-item pages showing up in the list and I'm not sure how long would it take me to figure out to use namespaces by myself. Now I know for future templates. Smile

Reward from the devs[edit]

After posting on the forums about the enhancement page being up to date, Cordovan sent me four TP codes to thank us all for the hard work updating the wiki. I will not keep them all for myself because I don't believe this is fair, so I need three names that contributed a lot since U19 to give up those codes. I noticed myself all the work from Bladedge, LrdSlvrhnd, and Yoko5000 and , but I would like to put the vote on the open before contacting them for the codes. If anyone have other names to support, please let us know.

If no one have any other name to propose, or isn't against those three receiving the codes, I'll send them on monday.

Nibelung (ContributionsMessage) 19:19, September 5, 2013 (EDT)
Cru121 has contributed a lot to U19 too Smile.
Gorocz (ContributionsMessage) 22:09, September 5, 2013 (EDT)
Don't underprice your efforts, Nibelung. You did some very nice work on finishing the trees as well. And also other editors (such as Cru121) contributed to (and are still contributing) to make the wiki fit for U19. It's a tough choice. I'm not in a position where I'd value some co-author's work over another, and I wouldn't mind a raffle where all wiki editors may apply.
Krlkch (ContributionsMessage) 06:33, September 8, 2013 (EDT)
I'm not underpricing. I kept one code to myself. I'm distributing the other three. Since we got only 4 names, I'll roll a result on random.org to see who will be the unlucky one to not receive a code.

Result
So, Yoko is the one that will not receive a code. I'll get in contact with the others to send their codes in private.

Speed and Elemental Resistance[edit]

  • Should all the different vales of Speed, I - XX, be lump into one category Category:Speed regardless of value or each value kept separate.
  • Should the effects that use Lesser, Improved, Greater etc. Elemental Resistance (the Template:Res) or be converted to Elemental type Resistance +XYZ (Template:Elemental Resistance) even if the actual txt on the item has not change on most of the pre U19 items? Not sure what Cru121 plan was at the time, converted some unintentionally or figure it was a good idea just have the resistance bonus shown out right.
Bladedge (ContributionsMessage) 14:14, December 16, 2013 (EST)
Introductory sentence to fix bullets display.
  • I would say let's start with a single category, because there are only a handful of Speed items in game. We can always add granularity later with a simple template change.
  • I started to mass-convert items to new elemental resistance, then realized that it might be a bit premature, so I stopped. We can let it rot this way for a couple of updates, perhaps Turbine unifies this stuff eventually. For now it would be nice if Improved Resistance and Resistance 20 items were pooled in the same category. (This might be the case right now, I am too lazy to check)
--Cru121 (ContributionsMessage) 14:25, December 16, 2013 (EST)
The pre U19 Template:Res has no category system, that would require going in breaking it down and dealing with all the different variables and switches or just move the older info to the newer template at a later time. Bladedge (ContributionsMessage) 16:12, December 16, 2013 (EST)
