Table width

Application of this template sucks in Stopping the Sahuagin. So much forced empty space for so few items. Perhaps lower the width to allow for images to the right? ⇒ Faltout (Contribs • Message • Email) 14:05, January 16, 2018 (EST)

  • The mappic and loading screen are big enough to exceed the quest description. The tables being 100% wide means they only appear AFTER the loading screen pic, which means that there is an empty space between the end of the quest description and the start of the loot tables. ⇒ Faltout (Contribs • Message • Email) 07:07, March 15, 2018 (EDT)

The dplcache appears to be a property of Extension:DynamicPageList that works with Mediawiki 1.32, whereas ddowiki is using Extension:DynamicPageList3 installed on MediaWiki 1.31.10 Sending in the current extension (macro) a dplcache parameter outputs a Warning "Extension:DynamicPageList (DPL), version 3.3.3: Warning: Unknown parameter 'dplcache' was ignored" and breaks the creation and display of any item tables. I'm removing the parameter to try and fix the display of the item tables on what appear to be over 1500 pages. It's curious as to why this would have been configured and how it would have ever been working, so there might be some other factors at play. ⇒ Joenuts (Contribs • Message • Email) 23:18, October 4, 2020 (EDT)

I switched from using https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:DynamicPageList_(third-party) to https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:DynamicPageList3 DPL3 has some fixes in it that we needed. The dplcache param is indeed missing from DPL3. See: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension_talk:DynamicPageList3#dplcache_parameter I removed it from this template but it does exist in a few others. After removing dplcache from a template, you will not see the change immediately. I need to manually clear the cache on the server first. I am trying to determine if simply removing the dplcache line from the templates is all that is needed, and that it does not have any unintended side effects. --⇒ Xevo (Contribs • Message • Email) 03:21, October 5, 2020 (EDT)

Condensed columns

I've set up in the sandbox and T:Named items category/testcases a revised version with less columns. After some discussion and collaboration on Discord chat server to make sure "Item" column sorted by ML-Type-Name, people seem generally happy with this change as it should fit better on vertical screens and mobile devices and still maintain all of the current information and most of the sorting functionality. Please take a look and comment your thoughts/opinions about this change to the look of the Named items category template. • If you're including a separate column for ML, call it ML and put the ML into it; otherwise it's just too confusing. Rename Quests column to "Location" perhaps (not all stuff comes from quests...)? Can you add augments? --Cru121
  • There's no separate column for ML. Adding Augments has nothing to do with this page, {{Augment}} and {{Named item}} need to be updated for that. Re: Can we make the quest column background color match the free/vip/xpack state of the quest it's found in?
