Hi, I see this is a template meant to list quests in tables. As indicated on DDO_wiki:Administrators'_noticeboard/Projects#Template_Projects (section T:QTL), I've also been working on a template to list quests in tables for a long time now (since January 5 2018). Comparing this to my work so far, this template lacks a lot and probably should, considering that I've been thinking about how to make my template better day and night for months now. Even though my template has produced useable results, I haven't applied it anywhere for various reasons:

  1. My template does not yet provide enough useful parameters to be used in as many places as possible.
  2. My template does not yet have a full documentation to help editors use it.
  3. My template has not yet been applied to many testcases to check for errors.
  4. My template has not yet been approved by the community since there are many ways of listing quests currently in the wiki.
  5. My template has not been foolproofed. In the case of an erroneous parameter, a huge DPL may executed.
  6. My template can't be applied if the {{Quest}} template is not uniformly applied to all quests, which is currently not. So I've been working on updating all the quests. (It's also the reason why I created {{Journal entry}})
  7. Unknown reasons that may occur during further development.

So, seeing you make this template and apply it in a day rings some bells. Your template still has the same issues as mine and more, but yet it is widely applied. Why? I, for one, think that this template is not yet ready for application because of technical issues (favor inconsistency/bestower is empty in most of them) and the look and contents of it have not been approved by anyone.⇒ Faltout (Contribs • Message) 05:35, March 24, 2018 (EDT)

I believe this template can now be deleted. All the "Level X quests" pages now have an accurate list with more details. ⇒ Faltout (Contribs • Message) 08:14, June 24, 2018 (EDT)

  • I don't see any opposing votes, question or discussion. Per the Deletion policy, If no opposing votes are cast within two-weeks, the page will be deleted.. I don't understand why the {{Delete}} template was removed. ⇒ Faltout (Contribs • Message) 17:33, July 12, 2018 (EDT)
    1. You failed to notify the template editor(s) on their talk page that you nominated the template for deletion.
    2. With one nomination to delete and one person opposing there was no consensus to delete.

  1. I don't have to notify anyone and there isn't such a concept as a "template editor(s)" in a wiki because of the number of people editing. Anyone that cares enough to look at the page/talk and post an opinion is considered an editor and at the same time notified.
  2. Removal of the deletion template is far from an opposing vote. An opposing vote still leaves room to discuss. The removal ends all discussions.
  3. Noone has yet provided a reason for the page to remain so we're still at 1-0 votes in favor of removal.
  4. You also removed the note about the template being obsolete. Why would you do that when the template is indeed obsolete?
