Your Cull Test Ignoring Div Tags[edit]

Yes and no... See Template:IEHeader (uses span the same way) and the corresponding page it is used on Item enchantments. Each and every different enchantment has an id, and if you type the Item_enchantments#id into the URL address bar, it should (does for me) take you there. -- ShoeMaker (Contributions Message) 17:48, April 28, 2012 (EDT)

Similar, but what I'm trying to do is pull in data from sections of a page. For example (using your page for reference) If I only wanted to display the table and heading listed under Item_enchantments#To Keep Or Not To Keep. I attempted to use the code similar to what is used in the loot catagories - {{:Item_enchantments#To Keep Or Not To Keep}} however, this loads the page in its entirety, not just the section desired. I was hoping the <div id="name"> tag and the following </div> closing tag might do it. Taurolyon (ContributionsMessage) 18:43, April 28, 2012 (EDT)

I will look into how the wikicore parses that information out for you, as it is something I've been intending on looking up anyways. Tongue ShoeMaker (Contributions Message) 19:20, April 28, 2012 (EDT)

so let me see if I'm understanding you right... when clicking on a TOC, or following a direct link, instead of the whole page showing up, all you want to show is tje section clicked on, right? I have an idea of how to do it, but I need to make sure before I wake up the hamster... lol... Ague (ContributionsMessage) 20:06, April 28, 2012 (EDT)
No, I think he is talking about transcluding a section of a page...

Edit: The answer to what he is a attempting to do can be found here. ShoeMaker (Contributions Message) 20:07, April 28, 2012 (EDT)

@Ague, not exactly, but that does sound like an interesting side project. Maybe it can be implemented on something in the future.

@Tech, yes, that's what I'm looking to do! I'm thinking of doing this for some of the vendor pages, listing what they sell, then transcluding the information into the shop articles to synchronize the information.
Do you know if we have this extension? Taurolyon (ContributionsMessage) 03:06, April 29, 2012 (EDT)
We do not, a list of all of the extensions that we have is list on Special:Version. Frowning Face ShoeMaker (Contributions Message) 12:07, April 29, 2012 (EDT)
Frowning Face I'll give Xevo a post and request it. I think selective transclusions might be useful in several projects, allowing us to allow wiki-editable, auto-synchronizing information spanning multiple articles. Sort of like having a miniature database without the SQL commands.

Hmm, something like this might be useful for the DDO information project and possibly including portions of it on quest pages. Taurolyon (ContributionsMessage) 16:29, April 29, 2012 (EDT)
