Way of the Tenacious Badger

From DDO wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

The Way of the Tenacious Badger allows more aggressive Monks to leverage harsh attacks against them to power their central energy, ki. In short, for a follower of the Way of the Tenacious Badger, what does not (yet) kill you will make you stronger.

This enhancement is available for any Monk at level 2 and does not require choosing a philosophy. This particular enhancement may fit best with Monks that put additional points in the Intimidate skill and have many Hit points—that is, a Monk build that behaves more as a Fighter ""tank" than a support melee class.

Way of the Tenacious Badger I[edit]

  • Usage: Passive
  • AP Cost: 1 action point
  • Progression: 3 action points
  • Available to Monk class level 2

Like a badger, you are most dangerous when grievously injured. You gain +1 to your Intimidate skill, and whenever you are below 15% health, you automatically regenerate Ki. Your patience has suffered however, and you generate Ki slower when meditating. You may only study one animal path.

Way of the Tenacious Badger II[edit]

  • Usage: Passive
  • AP Cost: 2 action points
  • Progression: 14 action points
  • Requires All of: Way of the Tenacious Badger I
  • Available to Monk class level 5

Like a badger, you are most dangerous when grievously injured. You gain an additional +1 to your Intimidate skill, bringing your total increase to 2, and whenever you are below 20% health, you automatically regenerate Ki. Your patience has suffered however, and you generate Ki slower when meditating.

Way of the Tenacious Badger III[edit]

  • Usage: Passive
  • AP Cost: 3 action points
  • Progression: 33 action points
  • Requires All of: Way of the Tenacious Badger II
  • Available to Monk class level 10

Like an axiomatic badger, you are most dangerous when grievously injured. You gain an additional +1 to your Intimidate skill, bringing your total increase to 3, and whenever you are below 25% health, you automatically regenerate Ki. Your patience has suffered however, and you generate Ki slower when meditating.

Way of the Tenacious Badger IV[edit]

  • Usage: Passive
  • AP Cost: 4 action points
  • Progression: 52 action points
  • Requires All of: Way of the Tenacious Badger III
  • Available to Monk class level 15

Like an axiomatic badger, you are most dangerous when grievously injured. You gain an additional +1 to your Intimidate skill, bringing your total increase to 4, and whenever you are below 30% health, you automatically regenerate Ki. Your patience has suffered however, and you generate Ki slower when meditating.
