Explorations of Death

After the disappearance of the powerful necromancer Tamask Xi'Razdyn, his estate and public library are overrun by the undead he once commanded. Menos Xuekaine, his former apprentice, claims that he will be able to eradicate the evil captives or bring them back under control if he gets hold of the Tomes of Blood, Flesh and Bone contained within. He hopes to reopen the library to a new generation of students.

If Menos's quest is completed, his apprentice Archin Muriose asks adventurers to retrieve as much as possible from a collection of scrolls spanning many macabre subjects from The Keeper's Sanctuary. Although the monks and priests were driven from the Sanctuary by the Silver Flame, he warns that the Keeper's servants still consider it sacred ground and it may be defended as such.

Both NPCs are sitting at a table in the Drowning Sorrows Tavern.

Note: It should be noted that this is not an official chain - no story arc exists in game for it, there is no end reward, and the name is made up. However, since it still acts in a similar manner to a chain, as the two NPCs refer to each other and the second quest cannot be opened until the first is completed, the wiki uses this name to refer to both quests.
