I have to say the current "Rift" Ad that runs on your home page is awful. It is a resource hog. It really makes it tough to navigate to other pages within your wiki. 162.134.72.6 11:49, February 14, 2012 (EST)

Actually the wiki has become a resource hog ever since they added Google+, since then it won't run in the in-game browser anymore and locks up the game if your try to run it through there. Neouni 17:27, February 14, 2012 (EST)
Gota admit, the wiki does load extremely slow some times... even in FireFox/IE/Chrome (not my fault, haven't done any mass edits lately >.>), with the ads disabled. Most ads don't use as much resources as you might think, but there are ways to stop the ads (which are helping pay for the service we regulars and Xevo are providing) And Google+ is just a bad idea for an in-game browser... they should stick to something simple like the Steam browser Yawgmoth 18:40, February 14, 2012 (EST)
Google plus nor facebook links seem to show for me if im logged in. Think less ads too... So yea sign up and the site should run smoother. Shade 21:07, February 14, 2012 (EST)
I see no ads (That I've noticed, may have just gotten so accustomed to not paying attention the I don't see them), see no FB or Google+, I do notice that may pages load a lot slow, right clicking on links takes like 30 seconds for the menu to popup.. It may be just be time for Xevo (Contribs • Message) to invest in a server upgrade?? Perhaps a purge of all non-current revisions over a year old or something would do wonders, but that would still be nothing more than a band-aid IMHO. Anyone else have any comments or suggestions in this department? ShoeMaker 00:59, February 15, 2012 (EST)
There are ads since when? I have also notice slow load times even for pages that have only a few lines of text. To determine what the problem is: server, network congestion, wiki site the best solution is to get whatever site and server logs and start from there, thats if someone can actually read the logs. As for a history purge not sure how that effects page loading, it could work for the heavy edited pages (and free up lots of space on the server). Then there are pages and images that should have been deleted years ago (Ive seen the ddowiki basement on my redlink hunt, and its not pretty sight). Bladedge 02:48, February 15, 2012 (EST)
If you have major slowdown problems, it might be excessive content filtering for ads on your part, I was just commenting on the increased use of memmory and being incompatible with the ingame chrome browser since the google+ was added.
People also seem to forget that each time you load a page all your 'bars' will refresh and reload, and once again don't use internet explorer a tin foil hat gives more protection. Neouni 08:15, February 15, 2012 (EST)
