Talk:Weapon Finesse
You brought up a good point about 'attack' being confusing. Removed it altogether in favor of 'to-hit' roll and 'damage roll.' Dedridd 07:25, February 14, 2006 (PST)
- Unfortunately, D&D 3.5 now uses the word "attack" in preference to "to-hit" in most places. Even though an attack really consists of two stages, hit and damage, they sometimes talk as if attack were the first stage only. That confuses people familiar with the original definitions. 24.62
I would stick to "attack roll" and "damage roll". It's common DND 3.5 terminology (see http://www.d20srd.org/srd/combat/combatStatistics.htm#attackRoll ). Maybe an seperate entry for damage and attack roll would be good for a detailed explanation.--Ziu 00:59, February 15, 2006 (PST)
