Definition[edit]

In-game has no use of the concept nor word zone. Could one say that zones are those "maps" that are instanced or how to define a zone? BlackSmith (ContributionsMessage) 15:02, March 18, 2013 (EDT)
The only usage of zone on the wiki is on the Artificer Workshops page and it is used to reference the workshops themselves, which is a wilderness adventure area. I say that we simply unlink it. I will do so now, as it isn't appropriate for it to be linked.

Edit: "The zone is considered a raid..." reworded to say "The workshops are considered a raid area..." which is more accurate. ShoeMaker (Contributions Message) 17:37, March 18, 2013 (EDT)

Zone is used in wiki. Zones : "The following 99 pages are in this category, out of 99 total."

So back to the original question, what is a zone? BlackSmith (ContributionsMessage) 19:37, March 18, 2013 (EDT)

for what i understand, it is name of the map, dungeon, wilderness, town, shop or whatever. when you open up guild roster in game and you see the places' name attached to your guildie's name. the game recognizes where one players are that way. whats wrong with it?

There is no wrong with the term zone, in principle. Just a question is there any external (in-game) definitions for zone or can zone be defined internally (in DDO wiki) as to be the term to be used for areas that open after the loading screen. I no one comes up with such conflict, I keep honing the map, place and so on articles and category while using the term zone to indicate those areas that are between the loading screens.
