What is this weapon made of?[edit]
The description offers that this item is made from silver; however, in the durability bar, it clearly states 'Steel'. On review, it has Silver
Silver: A complex process involving metallurgy and alchemy can bond silver to a weapon made of steel so that it bypasses the damage reduction of creatures such as devils and vampires.
Silver weapons have 2 points lower hardness then equivalent steel weapons, and as such aren't quite as durable. , Alchemical as a property. It also has a hardness of 17, which would be too high for a weapon made of silver (would be closer to 14). This leads me to believe it is a silver coated/imbued Steel blade.. - People have claimed to have seen them on starter items. This item is not "crafted" internally. The way Epic SSS items work is you put the four ingredients into the altar and they're destroyed creating a new item. - I don't think SSS items can get mythic. I've seen: named stuff looted from chests; wheloon former wondrous craftmanship items; and Slave Lords crafted items, because the blanks can drop with bonuses and there's also a recipe to add mythic to them. Epic items do not come from chests + devs said mythic from heroic base items get removed when making epic version. --⇒ Cru121 (Contribs • Message • Email) 11:16, December 19, 2017 (EST)
- Starter items don't come from chests either and there are reports of them having a mythic bonus. Yes, making an item epic gets removed when making the epic version because the base version is destroyed. I believe they also said that there's a chance that a non-mythic base may become a mythic epic because a new item is created in the process. 👟 ShoeMaker (Contribs • Message • Email) 👟 00:53, December 20, 2017 (EST)
- Have you seen a screen shot of said starter items? Can you provide a source? Even if they exist, it looks more like an isolated bug rather than feature imho. --Cru121
