Trying to understand how the U17 changes affect Epicable items in teh game... Does the pre17 version still exist in game at all or were all instances retconned? If the old version still exists, can it be epic'd as it is? Is the Epic version of the U17 variant, different to the Pre17 epic version?

- Pre17 versions of heroic items exist. They received some of the changes, but they did not get augment slots. Release notes include exact information, so does our u17 named items article. Both old and new version of the heroic item can be upgraded to the same version of epic item. Epic versions were not modified.
